Apparently, a couple of years ago, they were thinking of intorudicing a system where individuals could only go every two years to Glastonbury to give more people a chance. I wonder if this registration system is a means for them to keep their options open in introducing it in the future....
Aw, I kinda hope not. It's hard enough as it is, seems to me that system'll just make it worse. Giving you no shot at all one year to the next. Getting through would be even more stressful knowing it's the only chance for you and the other 100'000 people who were there two years ago...Or something like that Chickety-Check your PM's Ellie
holy fuck buds, why is it so hard? can they not just make the area bigger to accomidate more people? this sort of thing is COMPLETELY unheard of in the americas
Well it's already the biggest and probably the most famous annual festival in the world. It'd just be a lot harder for them to get a license if they kept expanding it....
As it is it's already virtually a city with a population the size of Swindon. If it gets any bigger, you might as well just go to Swindon.
Well I came out of Glast05 saying things like "why can't the whole world be like Glastonbury man... what if it was all like, you know like.. fields? Fuckin' hippies! I think I caught something off them
In the Americas you have more than 10 x the space! We are a tiny little island nation in Europe.... we don't have enough room to have houses bigger than cardboard boxes usually.
ha, i didn't realize it was that crowded there. ontario's nice and open definitely. you guys should come down here lol
Soooo, ooh ooh ooh, soooo oh ho hooooh oho ohohoo ohhhh! It's this weekend, are you ready to try for several hours to get your ticket? Ohh oh hoh ho ho ho hhhooooo oh!
Um, have you never looked at an atlas or anything? Incase you didn't know, the UK is the orange/yellow bit in the middle. This includes England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Now, if we take a cloer look: You will now come to understand that England doesn't make up the entire of the island (most of it, but not all). Now, look at Somerset...this is where Glastonbury Festival is held.
Yeah the UK is all the ones I mentioned above, I did forget the Scilly isles and Isle of Wight and The Channel Isles. Great Britain is all of those without the Republic of Ireland or Ireland or whatever the fuck it's called. Unless the Republic of Ireland ain't actually in the UK? come on then, enlighten me
doh! anyway, the size of the UK/Somerset have nothing to do with the size of the festival... they could easily have a million people if they wanted to, its probably more to do with managing such large crowds rather than space available.
Well if you've ever been along the roads near the festival, you'd see that you definitely couldn't get a million people in. It's five hour traffic queues with just 100,000 people. It'd take days to filter a million in....
