Can I donate if I've smoked a lot of pot? My uncle smokes some bud but I don't know if there is a toxin to blood ratio they can except.

I gave blood and got really sick afterward...for almost a month...

Now, I can't give blood because of my recent tattoo...and also because I've travelled overseas...

They said there was a malaria thing with the Dominican specifically. I didnt even get off there, I stood on the dock only. I did explore Haiti (relatively), St Thomas, and Puerto Rico though. Sexy boys.

If you travel to certain third world countries, I guess, you can't. And I did.

I actually despise needles but I just kinda suck it up like with everything else in life. I am naturally a quivering little person but I do what I need to do, and donating blood is such a super easy way to do good.

I don't give blood. At my previous school the leeches would come around quite a bit and basically beg for your blood. In one day I was asked 7 times to give blood. I finally got mad and told them that I was HIV+. They left me alone after that.

Besides I'm O+.....like they need me to donate.

I try to give blood every six months, and always end up with crazy needle bruises on my arms coz my veins are poopy. And then I have to wear long sleeves for days afterwards or else people look at me funny.

I'd like to give blood. But last time I had a blood test I felt REALLY dizzy afterwards.

It wasnt helping the fact I had to take a piss test straight afterwards. Then about half way through my arms starting shaking quite violently. Then my legs did. I could barely stand.

While trying to give a piss sample.

    It was very difficult. :(

So yeah anyway, at my uni lately they've been having vans there to donate blood. I've wanted to, but been too scared. :(

Good for you guys donating blood! I'm a universal receiver, so I could potentially have any of your blood.

I have a nice bruise on my arm, because the woman who took blood from me was really rough and the needle kept wiggling inside me. Ouch.

I don't believe in donating blood, and don't see the point.

The people who come on campus looking for blood keep on hassling pedestrians to donate with guilt trips. I don't need to donate blood to feel good about myself.

(They wouldn't take my foreign blood anyhow).

Fainting happens after donating blood or simply having blood taken for tests to many people... I don't know if my blood is perfect for donations, but I will have blood tests taken soon and will see how it is.
