are you really hot? talented? rich? the same rules apply to getting rich chicks that apply to getting rich guys. there's a heirarchy that is undeniable.

 

What you aren't taking into consideration is the fact that women are now becoming financially and professionally successful at a much faster rate than men. Between 55 and 60% of recent college graduates are now female, so some of those women will have to marry men that did not finish college. This is a completely new thing that doesn't fit into the old social patterns.

 

and marriage rates are dropping and divorce rates hold strong. women are every bit as shallow as men and will usually shop for the best money and looks can buy. who can blame them? i certainly can't.

 

Maybe not. At least 10% of them will be lesbians and wont want to get married at all.

 

it's a beautiful thing.

basically all i've seen of the hot chick enigma that so eludes most men is that if you're not super hot or super rich, those women will usually go to the best compromise available. hell, they may even develop geniunely fond feelings and a bond with them. men do the same thing, it's human nature as well as the nature of just about any animal out there. we'll fuck just about anything if we're desperate enough, but we wont' stick around if there's better options. crying about it is just weak.

then why'd you ask? you asked about women with their own money, not "women with their own money who are sensitive, not shallow, overly class conscious, and are into men who aren't rich or ambitious." that's more specific. people are people wherever you look. it's not being mean when they behave the way they do, it's being people.

 

It’s going to take a lot more than a few successful independent-minded women to change
the structure of our society.

The big, important change that I think is worth noting here is that women had to care a lot about marrying money/security in generations past, but not so much anymore. Increasing numbers of women now have enough income that they can weigh a variety of other factors more heavily in mate selection. That is a major game-changer.

 

it's changing the game as far as women not getting married. Not that they'll marry chumps now.
