those drugs do not cause psychosis, they can exacerbate latent psychoses/mental disorders....but they do not cause them, and they do not cause any problems with the frequency that heroin does...

The stuff Herion is cut with causes the problems, as does the uncertainty of strength of street Heroin. If you knew it was x mg of Heroin you'd be as likely to overdose as you would with aspirin -- it would have to be reckless or deliberate.

 

Heroin causes no problems apart from constipation and nausea in most people. Hallucinogens and amphetamines can all cause psychosis.

 

first of all, wheres the proof hallucinogens cause psychoses w/o predisposition? second, i never said amphetamines were good....i don't think amphetamines are anywhere near as safe as lsd and shrooms and weed....and third, addiction and death sound like pretty serious possible consequences dont you think?

i guess, if used properly, w/ restraint and with knowledge of exact dosage of pure heroin its no more dangerous than taking aspirin, as im sure there are cases of ppl doin heroin most of their life without many complications...but im also saying that weed, lsd, and shrooms are safer imo than aspirin, so thats still safer than heroin

side question for ppl....if morphine is legal as a medication, y isn't heroin? idk if there are specific reasons or if its the same bs as with all other drugs....

 

Possible death is a consequence of taking too much aspirin, addiction is only a problem when you can't get the drug! The problem is doing weed and LSD for 10 years is more likely to cause health problems than Heroin. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I'm not against LSD or cannabis - I just know they're not as safe as Heroin.

Heroin is a legal prescription drug in Europe, not in the USA because of stupid laws based on bad science / flawed moral reasons.

 

Herion is not a legal prescription in Europe its given to addicts just like Methadone is hear in the U.S. And please stop with all these excuses now and bulll shit. like its what the dope is cut with, pure dope is better and safer then weak dope. Please man take a trip into any inner city area-THE GHETTO-or go to your nearest methaonde clinic and maybe this will show you first hand what herion can do to a person ask them how different they are physically and mentally sence they have been addicted to it ? I am still in shoc that you really think in your head that Weed and asprin are better for you then Herion. PS- What you say about if a drug addict took a certain MG number every day of Dope this would be safe ? hears another thing thats shows me you know nothing about Dope. No one who does dope wants to do just a certain amount to get normal if one took the same dose every day they would not get high and are just better off taking methadone. With Herion you need more and more to get high Thats why people use more and more of it. The bottom line is no opiates are safe at all. Some are safer then others though. Herion and all hard core opiates like OC's,Dilaudid,Morphine etc are very dangerous and if you don't know what you are doing with them you are pretty much playing russian roulette. And the odds of someone who is 15 dying isa lot higher then a person who is older and knows there drugs and how to use. Thanks painfree, I know my spelling sucks balls. Sometimes I go back and fix it and structure my sentences and grammer better after I read over my post and see how bad it was. What happens is I have 1000 dam things going threw my mind that I want to say and get out and my typing goes way to fast. As for knowing about Herion I guess I should know about it was pretty much my Job and my life for about 8 years. To be honest I wish I knew shit about Dope or other hard drugs like Crack/coke. The more you usally know about them the more they have fucked up your life ????? I am buy no way anti Drugs I just wish people and manily young kids would be smart about the way they use. I have been around to many OD's and people who have fucked up there life becasue of hard drugs like Herion,Coke,and pills .I live in a small town its a white middle class town not some inner city Ghetto eather. shocomb, what are your experiences smoking H? if you have any that is. the dope you get on the east coast is mostly powder? ive been smoking tar occasionally for just a few weeks and except for the first time its been kinda disappointing. i feel light headed and i get this slightly nauseous feeling in my stomach. probably not smoking enough to get the 'euphoric' feeling which ive yet to experience. when i get that uneasy feeling i stop smoking cuz i think if i continue i will vomit.
