The magic shrooms around here don't grow in cow dung; they grow in the coastal rain forests, in grassy clearings. If you are consuming shrooms that were cultivated, they were probably grown in straw.

lol...exactly what I was going to say.

They won't grow off fresh cow patties anyway. It's always from composting shit and the harmful bacteria is dead so it's really manure at this point turning into soil. Not only that, cultivators will use horse manure instead of cows in combination with a casing. Whatever substrate being using, it's pasteurized to kill off contams by heating it to 170 degrees F. Horse manure also has higher nitrogen and nute ratios. Straw is a good choice for cultivators as it's readily available, easy to pasteurize, and one of the fastest medium used for cultivation. Rye, Wild Bird Seed, Coco Coir(the brown fibers), rice flour, popcorn, or pretty much any grain will grow mycelium(even sugar water has been reported to grow mycelium and sprout a mushroom), but rye, straw, and manure are the most widely used with highest rates of success. I have also seen them grown on paper.

    This, they will do.

I wouldn't count on it...more like god telling you jokes that aren't funny.

most of the psilocybin mushrooms grown around here are grown with brown rice flour and vermiculite in glass mason jars

So I washed my hair today because I was feeling gross. I feel better now, but I still feel itchy as fuck. Is there anything I can do about that?

For me it was gross! I lasted I think five days and had gross scummy shit all over my scalp. First off... try your hardest not to scratch at it, it makes it worse. Is there still scummy stuff on your scalp? If so, you gotta wash it very well and try and get it all off. It's the oils and crap in your hair/scalp that normally would be washed away, trapped there. Just washing wtih really hot water and massaging your scalp will help.

I FEEL for ya. I remember how itchy my freakin scalp was. Awful.

if you're washing with just hot water it will go away after a few weeks as your scalp adjusts.
