that depends on how you get there, boat, plane, or driving. the closest city to me is washington DC so there are many places of national importance there. the closest are the jefferson memorial, the washington monument and the us capitol.

whats the oldest building you know of that is withing 50 miles of your house?

 

There is a chapel in the next village that is dated to 1600..thats old...erm....

Do you visit these places when you have free time?

 

a chapel in the uk? no. buildings that are made in 1600? people were lucky to have log cabins back in those days. progress takes time. before 1500 there were only teepees.

there is a place called the old spy house built in 1648 last i heard you cant walk through it anymore, its amazing the storms it withstood being right out on the water in hurricane land.
