Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
    But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
    And so is Lola
    La-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
    Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola

    Sorry, I'm confused. Please articulate.

people sure as hell did not (did not what?) in the 60s ,70s, 80s, they kept a low key (low key what and why?) everyone knew who they were (who/they what - everyone knew who they themselves where, or everyone knew who the queers where?) BUT NOT PARANOID. (this last phrase is missing a discernible subject.)

You seem to be saying "everyone knew who they themselves were, but they were not paranoid about it?"

The song you quote was sensational at the time because it frankly talked about the same thing we are discussing. It plays on the fear inherent in straight boys that they may be gay, and even duped into a gay relationship with someone like Lola, a drag queen. The voice (first person) of this song, confirms the fact; but shockingly, he seems to be okay with it! How punk rock is that?

I'm unsure if you're trying to refute me? The song, even in the 1970s context (I was there and aware,) supports what I said in my previous post

The point of this forums is that todays society makes every man or woman at a certain age to question there sexuality instead of it running its course. And what that has done is given people an obcession or as psychologists call it OCD over their sexuality. They stress and become paranoid that things they do or mannerisms are what t.v. says is gay and now worry about their sexuality.

I want to comment on this..

When i was 11 i had a girlfriend in school and we were together til we were both 13. I began to feel a massive change in me.. Once which was nearly tragic and inner strength held me together deep down.. I beleive gay men are Born gay men but i dont beleive they are aware of it until in teens.. With me i left me ex girlfriend when i was 13 because it felt awful and not right.. I had a little experiement with a guy and i was very scared about what was happenning to me.. Many gay men do what i did.. Denial.. Many gay men ive come accross in my home town of Brighton (gay capital of Europe) go through a denial process which can include self harm, attempted sucide and heavy depression.. At the same time it can cause fear and paronoia about rejection..

Its because of these reasons i beleive gay men dont know they are gay from birth.. Some do know but most dont
