I also fail to see how being albino is a disadvantage, okay so you don't look like everyone else, I don't see how that is hindering, am I missing medical problems that come along with being albino?

See, I don't think I can make this anymore clear, but you are contradicting yourself when you say that. You say there is nothing wrong with being albino, but in the next breath say you would want to be cured. If there is nothing wrong with it, then you wouldn't want to be cured.

 

Wrong and different do not mean the same thing. Perhaps you should ask for a dictionary for your birthday.

What about population control? Is that not a valid point? Therefore we are meant to be attracted to eachother. You can't deny that the population is completely out of control.

You can not compaire them, they are not the same.

We don't want a cure for homosexuality and unlike cancer it is not going to kill us.

I certainly don't wish to be straight, not that I think its not normal!
it just isn't for me, i am happy being me, thats why i don't consider it a birth defect.
now i am in a lot of discomfort a lot of the time with my scalp, i wouldn't mind changing that, and if you wnat to call that a birth defect go ahead

its only society that says that hearing voices is wrong and that two people sleeping with the same sex is wrong, you can buy into that or not as the case may be.

I totally agree. This type of attitude continues to marginalize homosexuals. I would be very afraid of the thought of "the powers that be" looking for a "cure" for homosexuality... I'd say that'd be time to head fro the hills... otherwise they may start to look for "cures" for people who like country music or who choose not to have children.

Who makes the RULES of what is acceptable, or normal?

We have to be careful what we say even when it is in quotes...it still breeds intolerance.
