WHAT THE FUCK this thread went from a cure for homosexuality to hitler to the persian wars and now gay confessions. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE FUEL THIS
I dont know..In some ways I would say yes. Being gay in many ways is not great. Having to be quiet about it. Not knowing whether someone you fancy is gay too. Fear of being hurt if the wrong person finds out..I'm sure it depends where you live, but I believe that in many cases, being gay is extremely hard. Though I havent experienced any direct homophobia, we've all heard of cases were gay guys get beaten to death by insane fundamentalists or just aggressive guys.
If you had asked me when I was younger I might be apt to 'cure' it. I had tried to 'cure' myself and it just didn't work. I just couldn't look at a woman and feel attracted in that way. After that didn't work I thought I'd just keep it a secret for the rest of my life and it would never be a problem. The problem there was that I'd be a pretty lonely guy. I'd never be in a relationship if I couldn't tell anyone that I was gay. It took a little while to come to terms with it but eventually I became comfortable about it. Up until a year ago I was completely fine with staying in the closet and then I felt the need for some reason to tell someone. That someone turned out to be my best friend and I told him in early February of this year. It brought us so much closer together and we are more open with each other. We've even been talking about moving into an apartment together which is awesome. My sexuality is not even an issue with him. These past few months have been the best times of life and if I had the opportunity to live life again then I would not change a thing.
No, because that would not be me anymore. Being gay is Natural and nothing you can do about it. If I start curing it (although maybe at an earlier point in my life I might have wished there was a cure) I become a different person not at all the person I am now.
arent "cures" for diseases? mybe we should cure other things if we could that really need curing. I dont see the problem with homosexuality so there's no reason to cure it. I'm very much into the be happy and let others be happy too, live and let live... ohh yeah and i like girls too, so no, I'll keep things as they are.
if you want to find sex friend and feel happy like i do go here -->> http://adultfriendfinder.com/go/g822271-ppc enjoy it.
If there's a cure in this situation, it's one that must be given to mainstream society to cleanse them of their irrational fear of the different.
if you asked me this question two years ago I would definitely say yes without hesitating ........ but now, i'm satisfied and i'm proud of who I am .. and i don't think it's a disease that need to be cured ...although it's a phenomenon that doesn't fit the bases of life or nature-law.
wny is it a disadvantage? there are enough babies in the world anyway and what do you consider normal to be? your attitudes on this subject are not much different to hitler, he wanted a normal society too. the problem being that one persons idea of normal is different to anothers. I would actually argue that it is favourable to the species we are grossly over populated as it is. I for one am not normal in any sense of the word and I don't want to be S
We don't see it as something that needs to be "prevented" or as a "disability" or "disease." I do not equate having cancer, or one leg, with being bisexual. For me the two aren't compairable. If it is genetic, our eye colour is genetic too, should we "cure" that so we can have the colour we want? It's not something I would cure. I love who I am, and am proud. I also agree with Sam, the world is grossly over populated as it is, so how is that of concern? Actually there are millions of children who don't have families, so if gay couples choose to adopt, isn't that really helping out the world, not hurting? And in the end does it really matter if being gay, is choice, nature or genetics? People are gay, and they are human beings, and they should be treated with dignity and respect along with everyone else.
absolutly, attitudes like his, even though said with a glossy facade are still narrow minded and homophobic, HE doesn't consider us to be normal, well people who are considered not to be normal in society usually get swept aside. he needs to stop being so judgemental and satrt looking into the wonders of diversity S
