^. Yes unsullied is a word meaning untouched and pure. Removing it all ensures no dirty sex, I suppose.

Well, if that's her nephew (Jon Snow) then Jon's bio dad would be her brother. [IMG]

Wait, that doesn't make sense. But, yes, I noticed :D

    Are they cousins?

Danerys is dad's brother is Jon snows father right?

    So they are 1st cousins?

King Viserys III Targaryen (Daenerys dad) was the younger brother of the late Rhaegar Targaryen, (Jon snows dad)

so Jon snow would be the legit heir, since he is the older brothers son.

I still love the show but the turning point where it "jumped the shark" you could say was Jon Snow coming back from the dead. That's when it became typical Hollywood magic where no matter what the hero saves the day. They bent the rules of the entire story's universe to bring him back. I guess in a world with dragons magic is not out the question but no one else got this treatment.

Before that we get attached to many characters and they build story lines around them only for you to see them die. It kept the viewer guessing because the normal formula is to build a story around the hero and the audience will never truly fear for them because "well they are the hero he can not die how would they have a show anymore?". I liked it when it was more realistic and maybe just maybe the bad guy is going to win because the Game of Thrones world is so chaotic there may not be room for the good.

Now we know Jon and his aunt lover will eventfully win. Now that they are not following the books they will tease us and make us think Cersei has a shot. There will be dramatic battles and other characters we will love will die but Jon will save the day.

lol I don't know if it's HBO's fault, the Targaryens have a history of sleeping with their own. Blame GRRM for going there :D

There didnt seem to be any point in him dying and coming back other than an end of season cliffhanger

If he'd come back from the dead and he was able to read the zombies minds or have some magical powers or make dragons from fire, I'd be like ok. that makes sense in the context of the show....but no he just came back to life so he could be in season 7

What I don't understand is, if this shit keeps happening every winter then how do they keep rebuilding the castles? Let us be grateful in Scotland at least that winter just means 6 months of drizzle and misery. Can you imagine if Game of Thrones was real life? Winter is coming, therefore it's time to play Game Of Thrawns. Just get more pissed and lie in bed all day. Theresa Is still the king.

I'd do my aunt if she looked like Cersei, let alone any of the other ones...

I agree the books should have been written before the shows, but look at other films that were made during the writing of the book that turned out to be really great? 2001 for instance..

(The book/film was a collaborative effort, but the book was based on two earlier short stories by Arthur C Clarke. I'm not sure why though that in the book they went to Saturn, but in the film it was Jupiter? Sometimes a bit of diversion is worthwhile. It's just a story..)

Noteable performance from Lena Heady in season 7. Of course we all hate her because she's an evil sadistic ****, but I think the actress playing her has really nailed it. She's been consistent all the way through, and those eyes. She's one of the stand out actors, make a good Nurse Ratched.

And of course Peter Dinklage and all the rest..

Dwarfs and whores. Fuck your sister.

This is an interesting article by the (cough and spit) BBC about the show relating some of the characters who might be heir to the throne to real historical medieval kings and queens, or prospectives.

Anyone who isn't as old as me or lives anywhere else but this blighted island.

Petyr Baelish, played by Aiden Gillen made his name in the world of TV/Film in the edgy late 90's Channel 4 drama Queer As Folk, in which he played an older man having a sexual relationship with a 15 year old boy played by Charlie Hunnam, who then went on to star as Jackson in Sons of Anarchy.

    How boys grow up.

ps. I think Sons Of Anarchy portrayed violence towards women in a bad way and in general I don't rate that show much, and I hope most motor bikers don't either)

I guess "Winter" is more of an Eon than a season - in that time once upon a long ago?

It's a different meteorological system on this planet, but if there's a zombie dragon attack every winter then you'd think a few castles would get fucked each time. What's the first thing the Wight knight is going to do once he gets across the wall on the zombie dragon: fuck every castle on the way to King's Landing, then fuck King's Landing.

Seeing as Jon Snow is apparently now called Aegon "Jon Sand" Targaryen and there's been dragons before I'm thinking the writers are going along some kind of history repeating itself canon. Not sure if Aegon was the mad king or not, but anyway that's only going back a few generations so not quite aeonic in terms of timescales?

Summers must last a while also for them to build a big fuck off wall like that to stop the army of the dead getting through.
