    Nice pictures but

Are they saying "Hoorraay Ghadafi the murder is dead and gone !"
Or are they saying "Hooraary this means NATO will stop bombing us and the
rebels will stop shooting our children."

Normally I would say "Time will tell."
But these bastards lie so much and are so powerful that I will just say....
" We will never know. "

Either way the people appear to be happy. I can view this as a more violent version of Egypt's Mubarak. The people of Egypt, for weeks of brutal protests and troops trying to bring them down via violence, had achieved a goal of sorts. I think the people are relieved the violence is over...that is important. Wouldn't we all be relieved of that? Despite what news source your information comes from, or which side is taken, we can't deny there was an extreme (unnecessary) amount of violence.

What happens now to the future of Libya? A stand-in military gov't like Egypt as well?

after watching and reading news reports from many many sources and hearing nothing stating that NATO is or will stop bombing...and hearing everyone announcing the death of Moammar Its pretty obvious that the people are are probably saying "Hoorraay Ghadafi the murder is dead and gone !"[IMG]

The Libyans look pretty happy. I know some other folks that may be. The relatives of the 200 and some victims of the Lockerbie plane bombing and the families of the two soldiers killed in Germany by a bomb. The ones he had tortured and disappeared over 42 years may feel relieved. So it goes.

And the biggest thing to note is that they did this WITHOUT America.

One dictator and opressor less in this world , but how many are still out there ?

Muhammer how you're planning to go about making your amends to the dead now ?

I hope the libyian people are now truely free just as long as no super power try to muscle there way in just for the oil , but we all know what going to happen -don't we

Im sad. the reaction to Gaddafi killing is sick. dragging a dead body and celebrate that a human being has been killed just sicking me. why i am glade that the country can move towards democracy and people have there freedom. i cant stick back and fell to happy. after he was a human been a take a human soul by the act of murder is one of the worst thing any human can do to a human being. i would like to have seen tried for crimes and brought to the west to must charges of inciting act of terrorism for his support of the iIRA. yet i guess the west well be happy how long will it be before we se western business over in libya. because that what its really about.

Its incredible that people still believe the propaganda and lies of western media covering their bloody wars for resources and strategy. In my language we have a saying that "first thing that dies in a war is the truth".

Are people really so dumb to believe all the wars in the near and middle east are started to only remove "evil dictators" just there? Not for strategy and oil?

here some more examples of the USA removing "evil dictators" and nothing else:

They caught him alive, he surrendered. Then they drag him around, then execute him, whilst people record it on their phones, SICK!

He should have stood to answer to his crimes, but, as they say, dead men tell no tales...

Ghadafi was cleared and exonerated of all guilt in the Lockerbie bombings.
This war conveniently comes at a time when Ghadafi was seeking legal
compensation for the false accusations and of evidence that was
    discouvered to have been manufactured.

They learned from Osam Bin Laudin. This time they need to show a body
    to keep people quite.

As far as the people celebrating.
If Mother Teresa was my nation's leader and we were getting bombed and
shot at and our loved ones were being killed or crippled.

I would dance in the streets too if they killed Mother Teresa our leader.
Because it might mean the insanity would stop
