Ken Kesey and the merry pranksters where based in san franscios haight ashbury district..Ken kesey was a street threater actor as were the pranksters.. they would preform street drama and harrass the merchants and tourists.. they were there in the earily days.. before the summer of Love in 67'..Ken Kesey was a pretty FAR OUT dude he was a little scary too..and to my 16 yr old mind a sort of god.. The paraksters lived up to their name.. they would gad about in elobrate clothing and talking aristacratic and exagerating every movement and every word mocking the straights that passed.... acting out drama sceens.. I have been on the bus a few times when it was there at the diggers and around the neighborhood.. it looked like a head shop on wheels...you were either 'on the bus' or 'off the bus' or 'no where near bus conciousness... in thoes days.. so very long ago..
