you gotta stop shitting on people because they like a certain drug... just because you don't get any good effects from it doesn't mean that we don't. i won't even get into why DXM is actually a drug and why it's not only used when people can't find weed, but that doesn't matter. just give it a rest and if you don't like dxm, don't bother posting in discussions about it because no one cares if you don't like it and posting isn't contributing anything to anyone.

dxm shouldnt be taken, sure it trips u out, but the effects on the mind are devastating for many many people. there are many reports of olneys lesions and all sorts of shit.
i can vouch for a seriously fucked up brain after dosing dxm.

its a shitty dissociative drug that u have to be pretty desperate to take.

 

ive never experienced any bad side effects from dxm. i dont go crazy and do it all the time. i just like it because it was the first drug i ever got high off of.

i dont do it because im "desperate", i do it because i like the trip.

ive done acid once and it was weak acid. ive tried to look for shrooms but theyre hardly around and when they are, the dealers always make people buy in bulk. it gets fucking annoying.

 

i do agree that dissociative abuse is one of, if not THE most damaging things for your brain.

there aren't that many reports on lesions though, that was just an article published that was later retracted due to lack of evidence. DXM is clearly not healthy but there really isn't anything definitive about what exactly is has potential to do at certain doses/frequency of use.

i can get, and have done, acid mushrooms ketamine mdma etc. however i still choose to do DXM because i like the trip, plain and simple. it's not just for desperation, it IS possible that some people actually enjoy it, as hard as that seems to be for everyone to understand...

oh, no i'm not saying that... i probably shouldn't be defending it so hard, seeing as i way overdid it and have a lot of residual memory issues, cognitive issues (math skills are totally shot), as well as some shitty social effects. dissociative abuse undoubtedly leaves you looking at the world in a really strange, alien/digital way.

but i know that was just because i was an idiot and didn't know my limit, i'd be taking anywhere from 400-708mg a few times a week when i was doing it most. i don't see any reason why moderate use is a bad thing (i read somewhere that 1 low plateau trip every 2 months and 1-2 high plateau trips a year should be perfectly safe, which definitely sounds reasonable).

that is funny you should ask that, my buddy who had some script lean was saying that same shit, saying dxm is fake, but he has never done it to know the difference. I have done both and seriously dxm is way better, but I am not a fan of codeine and promethezine(sp?) at all. Either way and this goes without saying, there are better way out there, but not everyone has access to those when they want, so it is there business what they do to compensate, they may even wait or find a way around it. Still I dont see any reason to down someone for what they do, because some things, I would never do, heroin is one of them.

just an update from me, i have been free of all mind-altering shit for.... shit probably a month.

except for coffee and 2 mescaline trips.

i'll be going til the end of the year, and probably longer.

with the exception of alcohol occasionally, and some LSD and Mushrooms when they are around, i'm done with "everything else".
