If Cleveland isn't that great how did they tie for the best record in baseball, beat the Yankees, and have the Red Sox on the ropes, and be one game away from the world series? What qualifies as "that great" then? I'm not saying much till they put the Sox away, but even if they were somehow to lose this series, they have still shown that they are for real
it would be nice to see a colorado/cleveland series...... that doesnt happen all too often but imagine...... if the world series does go to game 7, game 7 will be on november 1st. no joke! and in colorado! there could be snow on the ground then!
It certainly looks like Boston won't make it... the Indians are playing very good ball and as things stand now they are the team that deserves to go.
well i will be there tomorrow night. I will be surprised if Cleveland can win it all against Beckett, but I guess we'll see, I didn't think they would have gotten to 3 wins either. How about Manny Ramirez being so seemingly uncaring about the whole series? In a way I think that indites the whole Red Sox team, like it doesn't matter to them to win.
Can't really comment as I've been at work during the last two games. Apathy is just as contagious as passion. Chemistry and desire to win are so very important. Right now, Cleveland simply is playing more like they want to win than the Sox are. Beckett is a competitor so the game will be close- I could see him the tough-luck loser on the short end of a 1-0 score. Enjoy the game.
here is a column about how he has been acting http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AnOV92tuxhTupgnSHRCZJC05nYcB?slug=ti-mannytoo101707&prov=yhoo&type=lgns also how about daisuke, that guy has been such a waste....the price just to negotiate with him, 50 million dollars, is almost as much as the entire Cleveland salary
both....... I think IM just tired of sportscenter ramming down my throat about how they are the best players to ever grace the game..... they are about as bad as the jeter/arod combination
He's a hell of a good hitter but an attitude like that will bring the entire team down... it very well may be happening. If that's the case then he should be traded.
i see how peopel dislike them as players and what not but Papi does a lot of great things around Boston for the youth, that barely anyone else does. he's a real decent person. manny, is well...manny....haha
Of course this is rhetorical but if they are so great why have their bats gone ice cold? They make all that money to hit a baseball and drive in runs. A failure to fulfill their duties should result in their being relieved of them.
manny is a great hitter based on his mechanics and the efficiency he hits the ball - he is a great hitter. his head stays still, which keeps his eyes still - leads to him seeing the ball better (which is incredibly hard at that level) his initial movement to move the bat, through his swing is great, its effortless.
there is no question he is one of the best hitters, its just that the Red Sox seem to be painting themselves as the new Yankees, and i doubt that the fans really want that
I think you have to win more world series to be painted as the next yankees lol. not one every 86 years
