Here's a reason to hate the Olympics Inside the brutal Chinese gymnasium where the country's future Olympic stars are beaten into shape Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-legs-young-boys-hang-bars.html#ixzz22e4XnQxX http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...standing-girls-legs-young-boys-hang-bars.html
While yes they train them young and hard and different to what we are used too. But honestly what is the difference between how they train them over how some train NFL players, Soccer, Beauty pageant kids, models etc. Some of those kids have very demanding schedules as well and they started at an early age some have it pushed on them as well........
Do you see the weapon in that instructor's hand? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...standing-girls-legs-young-boys-hang-bars.html
The Olympics lost me when they started allowing professional athletes to compete... I mean the Jim Thorp story was one thing but that whole 'dream team' thing back in '92 was just embarrassing... Hehe, I heard Lithuania gave the Americans a run for their money this week at the pre-lim's...:2thumbsup:
In these types of countries it's a chance for prosperity and fame. The extreme poor family working and giving every last cent they have for the training in hopes their child is the one that brings them glory and honour and takes care of them in the end. Not saying it's right..... just different culture. Some of these kids might be out in the fields doing hard labour starving instead of being there. To them it's a good life running water, bedding warmth, food all the time to train. It's what they sacrifice.
some people dont see the good in things such as the olympic, they just talk about the bad stuff. no point is arguing with em as they will never see it
And all the time and money spent world wide to put on the Olympic show could be spent on these innocent little children. The world truly has it's priorities all fucked around.
well some people actually do enjoy this stuff. and the olympics has been going on for a very long time. And its not going anywhere
Bearing in mind all of the bad things that come with the olympics, can you tell us about the good things, and if, in your opinion, they even begin to offset the bad things?
Ya well the Olympics shouldn't be a show like it is now. It was meant for people to come together and compete for their countries. A symbol of unity. Today it's just a big commercial gimmick. *edited to add* And as far as the money getting spent on the kids, well that could be the same for a lot of other things going on as well. The Olympics had the intent of bringing ppl together
