yes white people won golds! just last night a diver won gold beating two chinese guys who were heavily favored. also a white girl won gold in like skeet shooting. tons of white people won golds lol idk where u got the ideo that only black people won em. the guy that won the decathalon is white, and so is the dude who came in second. the beach volleyball girls got gold and silver, all of em white. and just today a white usa wrestler won gold... i could keep going lol..

 

Some of the success for small countries comes because they have a big love for their athletes, and support them with their hearts and gifts and training programs.

Different cultures each have their favorite sports and send more athletes to the Olympics for the sports they love best.

Ever seen the movie Cool Runnings? It was about the Jamaican bobsled team. No snow in Jamaica, so they had to go to Canada where it was possible to train in winter conditions. They didn't even have a winter sports culture, but they wanted to represent their country. I think Jamaica has a lot to be proud of.

Ireland should be proud of Roamy. She's not shy about standing up for that pretty little green island in the North Atlantic. I hope she will be asked to carry the torch next time it passes through her area.

Now as for her invitation to kiss her @##, Hmm, I am tempted to respond, but I won't, at least not in public.

only a year and a half until Sochi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although the summer olympics is more entertaining, in my opinion of course. More events!

i lived in atlanta in 96 during the olympics.. but i was 8 years old.

 

I'm so glad Boudia won, Mitchum was one of our big hopes before the games, but he bombed out and didnt even make the final. But it was almost a carbon copy of Beijing. Two chinese divers looking unbeatable going into the final only to get there arses kicked by some outsider STEPPIN UP!

Apart from that I'd rank Kayla Harrison in the Judo and Felix on the track as my other favourite US gold performances. Harrison is a tank, and she was World champ, but still you dont expect US to win in the Judo, and it was your first, so history making.

And Allyson Felix on the track, everyone else in the sprints, male or female is huge, but she's tiny, little pocket rocket

Golf, Rugby back in the Olympics in Rio 2016

Rugby is ok, means Australia pretty much guaranteed a medal, even though i hate the sport.

and Kitesurfing making its debut, which would be actually be kind of cool

 

in the mens olympic mountain bike race.. there was only one dual suspension bike in the race, and jaroslav kulhavy, czech republic, won it on that bike. gotta love it.. that course is obviously considered more suited to a hard tail, but as you can see it's not about the bike!! fuck yeah.. ppl bad mouthing soft tails dont know what the hell they're talking about.

 

Putting rugby in is like putting in american football.
im no fan of golf but at least any of 20 countries have a legit chance to medal.

It is strange, cos there are only a dozen or so countries that play it, and only about 4 that are any good at it.

I can pretty much guarantee it'll be the All Blacks (New Zealand) or Australia that will win, England or South Africa maybe an outside chance. No one else has any kind of chance

 

OK, Spice girls reformed for the closing ceremony, I have to admit I got a little excited.

They actually looked good, especially compared to a lot of the other stars, surving members of Queen looked liked they just got wheeled out from the nursing home and Eric idle and that guy from the Kinks look really old
