even though you think your mom is trying to ruin your life now, you'll appreciate it when you get older. she just wants best for her son. as for being a musician, practice and practice and practice and maybe you will get somewhere, but that kind of shit is hard to be successful at, and you should have something to fall back on if it doesn't work out.

Moms are bitches no matter what age you are, but you just gotta learn to accept her as your mom. There will be no such thing as a perfect mom (even if you have a mom that condones bud, you gotta admit that theres always something about her nagging at you). Well what I would do if I were you is that I would pick topics that I know would not get my mom bursting into an arguement over. Just keep this up for a while and dont bring up shit that you know will get her explode like dynamite. I dont have a good relationship with my mom either, but its not downright horrible. I actually want it to be better, but at this point in life I realise what my dad meant when he told me "she's not gonna change so you're gonna have to change". I changed only a little bit, but still things never get better. Trust me kid, no matter how hard you try to please your mom, she will still find a way to bitch at you. I swear my mom's favorite hobby seems to be bitching at me, but I learned to live with it. My brain usually goes on autopilot when my mom starts bitching at me. Just breezes me through with the right answers n shit.

"So you wanna be a rock superstar? And live large, a big house, 5 cars, you're in charge..." Yeah so it seems like you really want to become mister rockstar when you grow up. Well keep playin the guitar and you'll make it through, but just in case you dont make it through, you need to get thru school first. Yeah sure he or she didnt graduate high school and now they're making millions. Yeah well just so you know, they made it through fucking record companys looking for a certain "look". Get your ass into school Rockstar, because before your career booms, you probably need to be flippin a couple burgers or haulin a couple boxes. Gigs are only a few nights out of the week, and they dont pay much or some dont pay for shit. Its gonna be probably around 10 - 15 years before your rock n roll dreams come true, so in the meantime, get your ass off the couch. And the mohawk... dude asking your mother for a mohawk when you are 13 is the dumbest thing to do. I remember when I was 13, I told my parents to take me to get a tattoo, and boy did they flip out. And when one day I came home with a lipring, they flipped out. Yeah its gonna happen. Just wait about 3 or 4 years before you looks like your favorite artists. Besides, nothing looks more patehic than seeing 13 year olds with mohawks. Punx is cool, but 13 year old punkers with mohawks fuckin suck balls. Wait a few years kid before you come home with that Justin Sane mohawk.

As for the drug use, dude, fuck the other shit. Just stick to pot, or since you're smoking now, cigarettes. Or better yet, just cut that shit out until high school. They call it "high school" for a reason, and that reason is because high school is the time in your life where you get high. But I dont think you intend on looking like Keith Richards, are you?. Just stop the weed till you're old enough and have a better relationship with your mom. As far as school goes, stop fuckin slackin kid. I fuckin slacked my way through middle school too, but it was by pure chance that I made it into high school. And trust me kid, I fuckin regret it like hell. Right now I wish I did harder in school rather than fucking slack it through.

Well I know I cant tell you what to do, but Im just giving you advice.

You sound lazy. There is no reason you can't play guitar and be passionate about music while still doing well in school. Listen to your Mom, because you hear her but you're not listening. She sounds like she just wants you to have numerous opportunities to succeed. Doing well and working hard in school gives you that. So don't set limits on what you are going to do with your life at 13.

Please, do not ruin your relationship. I did with my dad and I'm miserable a lot of the time. We always fight.. over stupid little things. Don't bring it to that level.
Deep down I want to fix it, but I don't know if it CAN be fixed.
So, fix it while you can. She only wants what's best for you, because she loves you.
