Chuck....it took me by surprise to know that you're not a Morrison freak anymore. That's hot. Micha....I like that you don't like Jim just becaue most people find him 'hip'. Having said that....The Doors are still my favorite band.
Yeah, if you like all your music to soun exactly the same. I can't tell the difference of any of his songs. He's a male form of Natalie Merchant (post 10,000 Maniac's). As to Orsino- It is not fair to judge him in that way. You and I don't know where he could be musically if he was still alive. Everyone DOES evolve. You live up to you Shakespearean name to a T.
The Doors had the shittest bassline cos they were played on the organ so its reaqlly simple and repeditive
the doors are okay... good to listen to when you're drunk everyonce in a while. with that said, jim morrison was a very attractive man in his early days...
dude Yes' first album kicks ass, it has tonns of progressive sounds... but they did get better... then kind of worse... then better again i love yes
I think the theory of evolution is much simpler than everyone thinks... In my head, it's like... "Oh shit, did I just do something stupid.. okay, maybe I should make things go a little smoother"... And I'm told that quite a bit, about the twelfth night and all. I wasn't judging him... all he really did was sing anyway, and people rarely usually depreciate there, after about 30 or 40 years of smoking, coke, and alcohol. Take Stephen Stills for example. Can't sing worth a rat's ass anymore, but he's still good at bass/guitar, etc. He's also a hell of a writer. I don't think it gets better than Treetop Flyer... though Buffett's version on Banana Wind is alot better.
She hasn't listened to enough to know. Most people only know of fins, margaritaville, volcano etc. Yes, the 70s stuff does sound the same, but that's not the same Bubba that you see today. Trust me, I went to my first Buffett concert at 11. http://media.putfile.com/False-Echoes
Not heard a lot of buffet myself, but you have to love a guy who's band is named "The Coral Reefer Band" hahaha.
Okay Orsino, You know ALL that I have listened to in my lifetime. Congrats for being a stalker. He still sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
Did he sing the song about Pina Coladas? "Do you like pina coladas? And getting Caught in the rain?" Actually that's all I know of it... Hmmm... I like Bart and Ralph's version better from the Simpsons "If you like refund adjustments, and the music I play. Send a check to my friend Ralph, and he'll mail you a tape (Ralph: Tape, he said tape-o) Oh you call me, you wanta my tape"... Wow, I may be too obsessed with the Simpsons... Regardless, I haven't heard enough Buffet to actually decide if I like him or not, but he doesn't seem like a guy who's albums I would actually pay for.
ahaha iknow.. he's awesome and hes even more awesome live..i wasn't even that big of a fan but damn..that man puts on one hell of a fuckin show.. and i don't think that was his song..maybe but i don't think so..
