From gun piercing to a 14..too much??

yeah, urithane can have some nasty effects on people. captives in that size will be ultra heavy. so, it might take some getting used to. i wore a 6g circular ring in my septum for all of like 2 days, it was way annoying. in your ears though, it might not be bad at all. if you decide that the weight is a little much, you can always splurge on titanium. that stuff is super light.

 

oh yeah, make sure you get a good pair of ring opening plyers. those 6's and 4's are way to thick to get with your hands. unless you possess some type of super human strength. which you might, i dont know.

 

Thanks for the advice. i hate opening even my 18g rings. haha. i know the weight would definately bother me if they were metal. i saw some that were plastic like pinchers are, but captive, but... with no ball, just a piece you slide in. they look ultra cool and light. my ears LOVE plastic, but HATE metal. haha.

 

hmm, thats really odd. the dyes in acrylic can be toxic if your body absorbs them out (happened to me once, it suuuucked). i would imagine if your body reacted so poorly to urithane o-rings i would really freak out with acrylic. but i guess thats the human body . some things work real well, and some things send it into freak out mode. i love the pic in your sig by the way, big pretty eyes. send me a PM some time

 

wow..so you are telling me if you had 5 or 6 14's already you wouldnt question if it was ok to use them rather then going and buying more?

where did I say "the $5 would just be too much?" it just seemed like a waste if I could use the 14's and didnt

And novocaine i think you got the right idea...if I wait then I can get both ears done rather than just the right, and that way I could start witha 10 or 8..which was my end goal...
