frizz-ease doesnt work at all for my hair. I could put the whoile bottle on my head and it would just be a big glop and do nothing. You need weight in your, old stand bys like olive oil and rosemary work great. There are plenty of leave-in conditioners that will moisturize and help to keep that hair down.
    Some recipes:
    HAIR DETANGLER
    Formula

    1/2 cup fresh oregano leaves
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    1 cup water

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Instructions
In a saucepan, heat all ingredients together on low and let simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and strain mixture to remove particles and let solution cool. When cool, pour solution into spray bottle. After shampooing and conditioning hair as usual, spray the solution directly into the hair, saturating the strands and the scalp. Comb through hair and leave on.

Makes 1.2 cup. Refrigerate. Discard after 3 days.
    Formula

    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 tablespoons light sesame oil
    2 whole eggs
    2 tablespoons coconut milk
    2 tablespoons honey
    1 teaspoon coconut oil

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Instructions
In a blender, mix all ingredients together on low for 30 seconds. Shampoo and rinse with your shampoo of choice. Apply conditioning mixture to the hair and massage in with your fingers. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Can be used daily, leave on longer for more intensive conditioning.

frizz ease doesn't work for me either it's too heavy for my hair. biosilk works wonders though-try it. It's like 20 bucks but a bottle will last a few months

I don't use a round brush to curl my hair under, I use it to straighten it out then I flip the ends out. Yes I wear my hair in that annoying flip that everyone seems to have now. That is because I'm growing it out after letting my friend talk me into a pixie cut that made me look like a boy. I was so upset with that look.

I think the round brush is easy to use, but you could also get a flat paddle brush, one with vents in it is better because the air from the dryer can work through it. I don't like the ones with the vents though. I like the ones that are square and look like pin cusions. (LOL great description huh?)

I used to use Pantene shampoo and conditioner too, but it started making my hair fall out. I thought I was going crazy, but like 5 other people I know said it does the same thing to them. I really love Biolage moisturizing shampoo, but I can't exactly afford that all of the time. Paul Mitchell for color treated hair is nice too. In the summer I use the Tea Tree shampoo and it makes my head all tingley. Oh yeah back to my point. When I can't afford Biolage I get Dove moisturizing. My hair is picky and so far that is the only conditioner that my hair likes that doesn't cost $20 a bottle. :( Guess my hair has expensive taste. I still love my locks though, even though the frizz is a pain in the ass.

dude, maybe that's what's wrong with me. It's been about a year since i've been using pantene, and my hair has thined out like crazy, i figured it was cuz i went vegan around summer, and i thought maybe that had something to do with it, but now that i've been using outrageous this last month, i have WAY less hair falling out, and i dont have to clean my brush out every other day... HMMMM very interesting.....maybe i'll try dove next time, since that seems to be the favoured shampoo here :) I'm glad this thread started!!!

I hadn't ever thought about that, but I used Pantene for probably three years and I used to pull handfulls of hair out every time I showered. I always though I just lost a lot of hair (even though mine is relatively strong). Perhaps it is from the same thing... I use Citre Shine now and I like it, besides, it smells yummy. About twice a week I use Swave clarifying shampoo because that gets out all of the other crap I put into my hair.
