Hey Burby... lmao... yeah, maybe your right, i am not sure... it's such a long way off I personally haven't given it that much thought.. I was more under the impression of travelling the world as cheap and interestingly as possible.... I am up for doing it, but is hard to know how my life is gonna lead for a year or two, I wanna travel as a band, to tour is my goal so I will do this thing if I am available to do it, I am hoping I am gonna be too busy with my plans... so if I go it might be because everything hasn't turned out soo good.. oohhh who knows.... I am not the person to really answer your questions is what I think this amounts to!!! haha

(but at least you can't say I ignored you!! and it's good to rant in this forum, is it not the best thing about it?)

Yeah i actually TOTALLY agree with Burby....this idea is a nice pipe dream but too be frank it won't happen....I can see stefan and sam and mike possibly taking off together but no one else...I would love to travel the world in such a fashion but will probably do it solo....This ideas a fun pipe dream....Oh and i think everyone needs to read the "realitys of life on the road" thread in the UK forum because starfly actually does this and so has an idea about how it works....Tis all folks

 

well, it wouldn't be american gas prices that would be worrying me, it's UK prices the are far more of a concern.. anyway, sometimes you can worry about preperation too much, the best way to learn is just to get yourselves together and see where it leads, if you make sure you have a reasonable amount of money saved then you can support yourself if you need, you can think about things too much and then you never do anything... if we were to travel the UK and Europe I know people we can stop off with in a number of countries... that would give us destinations to head for in France, Spain and the Czech republic at the very least, if I could get my Czech mate in on the journey then we could easily spend months there without any real expense.... it just comes down to how much you want to do something, if your just gonna be negative and say something can't be done then of course, it can't.

 

seriously read that thread in the UK forum...its tres interesting....i've also been doing research into modern day travellers....its SO much harder then everyone thinks....trouble from the fuzz seems to be a major point...as does the fact that campsite owners hate hippys and they don't want "hippy buses" clogging up there parks because that turns people off....still it can be done, if you really want it. Incidentaly i'm big on the idea of travelling....but with more concentration on surf spots

Well i just read Burbots rant.....thing.....whilst he may have some good points....and some even better points...and from what i can see.....no bad points ........think about it this way......if..IF every body here wants to do this then i think it will happen because we have 4 years to do what ever(plan)....think about it in 4 years most of us will be...what 18-20 odd..yes?...thats enough time to get futher in school and get some graes to fall back on....you see....soo even if this dosent work(which it will) then we will all have grades to fall back on......its all up to you guys......you can come.....if you want to come.....thats all i have to say.....and Burbot....no one can hate you .....thas about it.plese post back your thoughts

quite most peeps who say they will probably won't, myself possibly included.. it is sucj a long way off... I am not too bothered how it is gone about, I know in the UK the government have started up designated traveller sights around the country which is suppose to be extended over time... but I am not to worried how the travelling takes place, if it means parking up and going in hostels for some of the time etc.. I will check some the stuff out you are on about, I am off for a bit now anyhow so will be later.

i missed whats going on.........oh right i get it..i think....well its not definate about the whole 2009 thing its just that i was talking to some other guy whos said he is definatly coming....and thats(for some strange reason) when we desided we would go...i was thinking more along the lines of 2007-2008...but anyway...we shall see.......only time will tell what goes on.....if fate wants us to travel we will.......if not then.....we wont.....we shall see......
