All the girls want to be the village wife, and she's seen as a goddess. Ask some men, and they say being a man is just being a male adult. So get over yourself.
I would feel like a whore if a guy I was having sex with started buying me expensive stuff. Even in relationships, I don't want money spend on me. If I get a gift, I'd rather it be something thoughtful than something expensive. The same guy once bought me a very expensive necklace for Christmas one year and a cupcake to cheer me up when I was feeling a bit sad. The necklace was forgettable but I will always remember that cupcake. As for purely sexual relationships, all I want from my fuck buddy is respect. As long as he doesn't treat me like an object and is honest about other girls he had sex with (to avoid STIs) then I couldn't really care less about anything else.
