I'm going to go run for a while this evening. Nothing too tough. Just a nice pace with the headphones on. We ran our timed mile last night at a workout thing I do. I finished just a bit over 6 minutes. I didn't realize the pace I was on or I would have tried to get under 6 minutes. Maybe next time. Just a little harder would have done it. That kind of left me wondering exactly how fast I could do it if I went all out and left nothing out there.
My nice pace with the headphones on turned into 10 miles. It was great except for the wind kind of sucked sometimes. My left shoulder and one toe on my left foot were getting a little sore towards the end but my legs and lungs felt great.
Tested on push-ups in our group tonight. How many can we do in 1 minute.....all the way down, all the way back up....(no cheating....people are watching anyway)? Last time I was disappointed because we tested after working out and I was pretty tired. I did 45 last time. This time we did it fairly early and I knew I had the gas in the tank. 61 in 60 seconds!! Bam! That's movin'!
Great because you were, I mean are, I mean will once again, be one of the hottest posters on hip forums Hotwater
lol Thank you, that's really a great boost in my confidence. I'm doing pretty good! I've been averaging about 15 miles a week the past 3 weeks. I won't weigh myself because it was just discouraging, but I've gone back two notches on my belt and there's probably a good 3 inches too much in the waist of my jeans now. I hiked 4 miles Saturday on a trail I've never been on before (with a friend) and it was a piece of cake. Had I done that a month ago, I probably would've died. Haha
I just had my ass handed to me in boot camp. Usually there are 8 - 10 people in the class, but today there were only 4 of us, so we just got killed. I missed a few workouts this week because I was sick, and I'll be making up for it by getting my ass out of bed early tomorrow so I can do a morning spin class.
Rode my bike for the first time in 9 months. Traveled to different parts of my neighborhood I never been to and found a few parks that I didn't know existed.
What is your boot camp like? I'm in one too. Ours changes but we do a lot of circuit stuff, a lot of running and cardio, and whatever else they dream up for us to do. I always say you get out of it what you put into it.....it can be really easy or really hard.
My bootcamp sound similar to yours - lots of circuit stuff, but a pretty good balance of cardio and body weight exercises. The more people, the smoother the workout. Yesterday, with only the 4 of us, it was like three separate and very intense mini workouts, with 15 minutes of abs at the end. Last week I was pretty physically exhausted, so I didn't have the best bootcamp. I am going to make sure I have a rest day on Thursdays, so I can have a kick ass bootcamp on Fridays.
