Six packs are all about overall body fat percentage. A person can do crunches all day, everyday, and not have a six pack if their bf% is too high. A person is going to have a six pick if they're lean enough, regardless of if they work the midsection or not. Ab workouts simply provide increased definition. Like they say, abs are made in the kitchen (not the gym).
I do crunches and push-ups. That's pretty much my routine. I don't have a six pack. =\ I have formations of them, but they aren't what you're thinking.
btw i walked on the treadmill today and rode the stationary bike for like 10 minutes. I lifted like 4 or 5 days in a row so didnt really want to today.
missed my first day in over a month today (not saying that i work out every day, but i needed today for it to be possible to keep up with my 3x per week schedule). my car battery died and took up my whole afternoon free time. i did carry a bunch of cement across the beach later today though, so i guess that will be a good enough substitute.
