Did chest heavy yesterday. Arms and shoulders today. Both days were new workouts with more reps and more sets. Gonna feel this later.
2/17/15 Kettlebell swings - 4 sets x 30 reps Bench press - 8 x 5 Kettlebell shoulder press - 3 x 8 Dumbbell rows - 3 x 10 Deadlifts - 5 x 5
I stapled a shitload of wood yesterday. Feeling it a bit today. Not in a bad way, it feels quite good.
soooooo tired right now...gotta take some pre-work out and get it in. how you feel on preworkout ALSO Shout out to Rat and Rollin...what up guys????
Legs and core today. Another new workout. Turned it up another notch too. I'm amused with this new level of brutality. Started with the machines upstairs and had a hard time walking down the stairs to the weight room to finish up legs and do core. Good.
My pre-workout usually consists only of coffee and BCAA's. A lot of the pre-workout powders on the market are loaded with nasty stuff which I like to avoid.
Pre workouts suck dick now without DMAA in them. Someone took one before running a marathon or something and died so its banned for everybody now. you can still but that ingridient seperately online but i really dont even need a pre workout besides coffee sometimes. When I do need a pick me up I just use black coffee with coconut oil mixed in.
just got the shoulders blasted and threw in some forearms at the end....and it hurts typing this, lol tomorrow the legs get it in
Routine 1 today and some minor stretching. Got 275 up 6 times on bench. Pretty happy about that. At my peak strength i was only doin 275 for 8 so im getting close. Gotta do more cardio. When i put on strength i tend to develop a bit of a gut. Would like to be more lean. 205 lbs with a 6 pack would be ideal. Right now im about 195 with a bit of a gut
I'm not doing anything today. My legs are so fried from Wednesday that I can barely sit or stand up again without them torturing me today.
ok guys, just got done detailing the arms for 2 hours...feels good man. Gotta make sure we all don't end up like this: ok guys let me know if im posting too much here.....ill tone it down.
lol I don't think you need to train one part of your body in a 2-hr session to not look like Richard Simmons. Sometimes less is more when it comes to resistance training. Jesus, what kind of rep range are you working in? Medium reps and sets work the best for most people, but to each their own. I just don't understand what people who spend HOURS in the gym nearly every single day are hoping to achieve.
My arms day is usually 30-45 minutes depending on what I'm doing. It also depends on how many people are there and how long I take between sets too.
Not sure what you mean, bro, but what applies to professional athletes who are highly trained and conditioned doesn't necessarily apply to the average Joe who simply wants to have a nice physique. Again, I wasn't coming down on anyone by what I said, because we are all different, and the same thing doesn't always work for everyone. I just cannot understand spending HOURS training one body part. My average workout is around 60-90 minutes, but I rarely (actually, never) devote an entire session to one body part, which seems to have become popular back in the 70s but has shown to not be as effective at creating strength gains for most people as training at a moderate rep range two times per week.
Honestly im just in a bad mood and am generally annoyed when severely misinformed crackpots like yourself try to act like experts
Whatever, dude. I didn't know I was acting like an "expert." But if you're in such a bad mood, at least try getting out of mom's basement for a few hours and get some fresh air. Go ice fishing or something.
