Circuit training again today. Now the class has been shortened and the trainer situation is becoming kind of a mess. It's still fun but it will be nice once everything gets back to normal....hopefully.
I never did do much excersize in the last several years, because it bores me. However, now that my condition is worsening and my weight is gaining, I am considering taking up yoga again. I will keep you guys updated.
Last practice before bout day, so we got our asses handed to us. Hell drills Oklahoma drills Spuxing drills Followed by the most brutal scrimmage I've ever been a part of. I hurt so bad today, but I'm so ready for tomorrow.
Did the Gladiator Assault Challenge yesterday. I love that kind of stuff. 5.4 miles up and down steep ski hills, through mud and water and through 30 obstacles. Some people got hauled off that hill in ambulances. 159 people in my heat finished. I finished 9th in my heat. Not too shabby considering I got stuck behind various slower groups of runners and had to wait at a number of obstacles. I had the 81st best time out of around 2000 people. I finished at 1 hour and 30 minutes and 30 for 30 on the obstacles. Pretty stoked about that. My knee is pretty torn up today and I have plenty of cuts and bruises but I'm ready for the next race. I was shooting for 1:45 so I was way ahead of my goal this time! :afro: Edit to say that I did no running at all to prepare for this race. I just showed up and did it. But it's the first race of the year for me so I hope to improve as the year goes on.
I have been over training like crazy this month. Practice twice a week, extremely tough bouts every weekend, and an hour with our team personal trainer every week. I can't wait for next month for things to slow down a bit.
Went out for a little bit of a bike ride, was only gonna go down to the beach and sketch some waves but decided to just carry on riding. Got back home and googled the distance and couldn't believe it - 32km! I was pretty surprised, cos I was pushing pretty hard. It'll be interesting to see how I handle it now I know how far it is..
Played a couple games of 1 on 1 basketball. My cardio needs work! Couple weeks of bball should do the trick
No, not really. There is one like 45 minutes away.... but 45 minutes there, and 45 minutes back is just not worth it. Besides, the sea and a beach would be much, much better. Just 6 more weeks though.
