    indeed, everything is permitted

but choosing the violence option has so many drawbacks . . . choosing the peace option has only one drawback; it does not satisfy the human drive to violence.

    so what makes you crazy?
The fact that you are eating fruity pebbles?
Or the fact that you posted to tell us you were eating fruity pebbles.
Or does fruity pebbles mean something different from the common association most people would make with the breakfast cereal by Post, featuring the Flintstones.

Oh shit you're right, they have Flintstones all over the box. Looks like they need a mascot upgrade.

Can't upgrade from the Flintstones. They are the pinnacle of silly animation.

They could put gay porn all over the box. That would be a winner with parents. Then it would be really fruity.

“Anyone who clings to the historically untrue -- and -- thoroughly immoral doctrine that violence never solves anything I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler would referee. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor; and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms.”

yeah it's different when discussing interactions between states and interactions between individuals. states are not conscious entities presumably.

well, making a comparison between how people act as individuals and how they act collectively is definitely of interest and relative to this topic I think.
