what i did is we had a group of four, three on acid, and our sitter was our guide through the woods who smoked a lot of weed, so we all had fun and were safe
The only problem I have two kinds of friends, the ones who want to get the highest and the ones that want nothing to do with it, so it would be kinda hard finding a spotter, so i think my only solution will be doing it with my two friends at the time( if one of them recovers from their accident) both doing mushrooms whats the worst that could happen?
It's all up to you man, You just need to know if you'll be comfortable in the situation, because emotions will amplify. So a sitter is a good way to reduce paranoia, you'll be good if you research about it beforehand and know how to handle certain effects.
Oh i will be well prepared by the time i actually do it, and i mean I tried weed alone, i know it is a completely different thing and mushrooms with be amplified but i think i can handle it.
Not on around 2g. You'd have to be a real dumbass to pull that off in the area that you're familiar with, stop scaring him If you think you can handle it and you're really certain you can, you will do and you'll have the best experience of your life. Bad shit can happen, and all of the cautions so far are essentially "disclaimers". Psychedelics are unpredictable, but they're not incredibly unstable. Have a look at these links: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=404634&highlight=PB_Smith&f=117 (a lot applies to mushrooms) http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=408443&f=48 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=324 Understanding how the shit works on you makes a big difference and can eliminate some of the fear of "what the fuck is happening?!". Instead, it turns that fear into a kind of "Ooooh, I kinda know what you're doing now!". For me anyway
If something bad does happen to you regarding the polive and you know you cant control your actions/words properly. Plead the 5th! You the right to remain silent. You have the Right to an attorney! If you get lost in the woods. Turn around and go the same way you came from. If your Friend dies while on mushrooms. Bury him. Get Rid of evidence. Depending on what state you are in mushrooms are a felony and you will be charged with Attempted Manslaughter AND Possession of a schedule 1 drug, and if you have it in a bag then its considered distribution of a schedule 1 drug. Thats about 40 years - life in prison... I am sure he wouldn't want his friends spending the rest of their lives in prison mourning their dead friend. Though life in prison may scare you. It is not Illegal to be high! You are legally allowed to walk around stoned and you can even tell a police officer about it. But you CANNOT HAVE ANYTHING ON YOU! Telling them that your high will give them a liable reason to search you. Do not bring up drugs if you are being talked to by the police. Do not bring up drugs if you have been doing something dangerous or illegal. This will give the officer(s) many reasons to nail you. I suggest you do mushrooms in the safest place you can think of. Though I have never had terrible anxiety on mush I have had very very very deep emotions amplified to a level of an unexplainable proportions. So I would assume the same can be said for anxiety/panic/fear. And one last thing. Dont go into the woods on a drug you have never done before without a babysitter. Probably the stupidest thing imaginable. Just imagine for a second. There you are. Hallucinating, you go into the woods too look for a spare tire for your car, but instead of calling it a spare tire you name it billy. You are lost looking for billy. Your friends you assume have abandoned you and you hide it with anger. You start running. Unaware of the log ahead, you trip and break your leg. Now billy is the nearest thing too you, which happens to be a twig. Congratulations! You found billy. Now you start to head back the same way you came from. But halfway there you hate your friends. You are now running through a forest in the middle of godknows where, your friends are being charged with manslaughter and you best friend is a twig. Just felt like telling a story. But anyways. Yes, dont do drugs kids!
Aesthetic, you doing alright..? Lol Don't talk to a cop, telling a cop your high is a sure fire way of having your parents find out if you live with them! All I know, is on my acid experience in the mountain/woods, I would have to wait it out for a couple of hours before I could find a way back if it weren't for our sitter. So a sitter can be helpful, or just go in the woods with your friend both tripping, have fun, and get back safe afterwards! EmBrAcE nAtUrE bE fReE!
@meaty: i just finished ready the the first two gonna read the third a little later, being I'm tired from my day at the moment, and need a nap or just to do nothing right now, but they were very interesting espically the last paragraph of the first link, thanks for posting it. @aesthetic: I don't even know what you mean by the entire post in a whole and i don't think i'm going to trip with them in the woods, i figure it would be better the first time in a backyard or their house even, just because one of them can't walk right now (she was hit by a car 2 weeks ago and broke everything, so I think we will "EmBrAcE nAtUrE bE fReE!" in a way easier for all of us
Your making me blush :blush5: with your praise. (yeah I used to be PB) lucidhigh LSD is THE SAFEST PSYCHEDELIC KNOWN period. It's less harmful than the sugar you consumed today. Please check this out; http://hallicino.hubpages.com/hub/M...he-Extensive-Damage-LSD-Does-To-The-Body-Mind it's a lot of reading, but should put to rest your concerns about physical safety. All this regurgitating of myth and anti-drug propaganda makes me want to scream. The facts are out there easily found on the internet. PLEASE people take some time to get the facts.
thanks for the article i just skimmed through it now and it had some good points especially in the comments, i will read it in detail later though when i have the opportunity
cool, sadly that idiot never did come back with his Dr. friend's evidence that was going to blow me out of the water. I knew it doesn't exist so.....
My attempt at seduction appears to be working! So, uhh... what are you wearing? Seriously though.. I don't mean to ass lick, but it's some good shit man. The first 2 especially, although some things vary from person to person the majority of it is quality advice and explanations - particularly for newbies to psychedelics. Just thought I may as well add the experiences cos they were closest
Yeah I've had some arguments with my friends who think weed is "evil" like all the other drugs, oh well their loss, but thanks for that link before it was pretty informative kinda changed my mind about lsd
There will be those who live by societal rules and make the world go round for civilization. Then there are the seers; the dreamers, who truly understand and see reality. I am not out for universal acclaim. I accept that what I do is counter to the culture.
As far as the ongoing discussion of whether psychedelics are safe or not, I invoke Alan Watts: "Finally, there are two specific objections to use of psychedelic drugs. First, use of these drugs may be dangerous. However, every worth-while exploration is dangerous-climbing mountains, testing aircraft, rocketing into outer space, skin diving, or collecting botanical specimens in jungles. But if you value knowledge and the actual delight of exploration more than mere duration of uneventful life, you are willing to take the risks. It is not really healthy for monks to practice fasting, and it was hardly hygienic for Jesus to get himself crucified, but these are risks taken in the course of spiritual adventures. Today the adventurous young are taking risks in exploring the psyche, testing their mettle at the task just as, in times past, they have tested it—more violently—in hunting, dueling, hot-rod racing, and playing football. What they need is not prohibitions and policemen, but the most intelligent encouragement and advice that can be found" -from Psychedelics and Religious Experience If someone tells you there is NO risk, they are a fool. That's what makes people do reckless and foolish things. Your relationship to reality WILL be changed. But, as Watts makes clear, the risks are worth it; the undertaking is a great one.
Another insight from Watts: "The effects of what are now called psychedelic (mind-manifesting) chemicals differ from those of alcohol as laughter differs from rage, or delight from depression. There is really no analogy between being "high" on LSD and "drunk" on bourbon. True, no one in either state should drive a car, but neither should one drive while reading a book, playing a violin, or making love. Certain creative activities and states of mind demand a concentration and devotion that are simply incompatible with piloting a death-dealing engine along a highway."
I kinda just try to ignore it because they are so closed minded about EVERYTHING. It sucks that some people never listen to others opinions, But they won't listen to reason. It's like playing Chess with a pigeon; no matter how good I am at Chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like its victorious.
=P That would be ignorance + arogance. Not all non-psychedelics users are like this. I think that people are like this and some people arn't. The psychedelic just amplifies the personality.
