how about when the battery is dead? because, you know, i'd love it if someone was breaking into my house and i could dial 911 and "scream the terrorists are here!" and actually have someone show up.

they're paying attention to everyone's habits....collecting data....to be used to better control us all, to make the changes they want to make in this country that much easier to carry out.

Actually there is a very secret report on ABC News (you have to google hard to find that one), which says that while people fall asleep the special team of highly trained surgeons stealthily enter your premises, do razor thin incision into your brain and plant a chip there, directly connected to your hearing, smelling and visual nerves, thus allowing to monitor what you say, hear and smell 24/7, for the rest of your life.
It is also reported that they have remote access to your gas stove which is activated minutes before they get into your premises (the gas pipes are filled with medical anesthetic substances sometime before their arrival).
In case you have an electrical stove, don't hold your hopes high: in such cases they drill a little ,invisible to your eyes, hole in your wall and put an anesthetic pipe through it. This is also done inconspicuously ,in the middle of the night, without any noise or detection (special , remotely controlled robots, smaller than a cat, do the task with impecable precision and accuracy).
According to the same report 82% of population has already had those head bugs implanted and another 18% will unsuspectedly go through the procedure in the next 6 to 18 months.
It is highly recommended to panick and go nuts as you read this :)

    ignorance.....

many companies collect data. much of that data is collected and utilized for reasons other than those stated to the general public. it is possible to find this information. i suppose it's alot easier to make jokes. if that's what satisfies you, then don't bother finding out whether or not i'm full of crap.

    Ignorance... :)

    First of ,
"many companies collect data" is not the same as "FBI listening through OFF cell phones".
    Notice the difference?

As to private comps, or any organisation utilizing technology, collecting data: that's just what inevitably had to happen with advancement of IT.

i suppose it should be: FBI utilizing information collected through specific word recognition recording software, but that just doesn't have the same ring to it.....:)

Again, totally different subject, and not bureau "listening through OFF phones" but supposedly the special technological system that serves one of the govs' top undisclosed branches (if you are talking about "specific word recognition recording software").
And there were reports on it all over the major newspapers (so this is not some secret I am disclosing here), stating that there was accumulation of data so large that it made it a superhuman task to go through in meaningful way.

Anyway, this is not a subject I have a stake or interest in, so will leave it at it.

    Have a good one :)

true, a superhuman task. good thing for them that they have computers to organize the info and spit out whatever statistical data they could desire.
