1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

You could also subscribe to the forums and get an upgrade to Supporter or Lifetime Supporter here

I Looooove moss. Thats is the best. I also like a dirty, bruning hot summer street. One time, I went to great advenure barefoot and it was 112f out. I had 2 walk 1/2 mile to my car and the ground was so hot you could melt stuff into it. It felt really exciteing.

I like to walk or run on crunchy gravel, especially the kind you find on granite trails in the Sierra Nevada mountains- the consistency of large chunks of granola. Yum. Very crunchy.

It's hard to pick my favorite, Old pine needles laying like a carpet, crunchy crispfallen autumn leaves, mud warming in the sun after a rain shower. Too many to list

it's funny when you realize how much more connected you feel to everything when you're barefoot. we spend so much of our lives floating above the earth on plastic air pumped sweat shop mass produced footware, never even stopping to think how we're getting more and more detached from mother earth because of it. i feel so much more aware when i'm barefoot outside, my favourite surfaces are cool damp grass, fresh dirt/clay and warm concrete.
