My favorite 60s bands are the Beatles, The Moody Blues, Vanilla Fudge, and Spirit. All very good music that pushed the boundaries of popular music sound. I also like a lot of jazz bands from the 60s, as it was the height of the post-bop jazz era, and the end of the golden era of acoustic jazz (sadly...). Some favorites include Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Freddie Hubbard.
