thank you! The second picture has been taken on 26. of december of that year. It was fscking cold, about -15 degree celsius, but the air was so crisp and clean. Must have been a good day .

I few minutes ago I roasted the acorns and tried the coffee experiment. Well, it tasted a bit like coffee substitute made from barley malt. Not too bad, but not too good either. Roasted chestnuts are way better .

no, that's not my kind of fun. One or two times I visited the Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt and sometimes I visit more local Christmas fairs. I usually do this to make other people happy .

it will be great . If you have some time to kill don't forget to visit Christmas fairs in the small towns around Nuernberg. Sometimes one find real pearls there . Do you come only for the Chrsitkindlesmarkt?

Actually I've never been to the fair. I have close relatives in Fürth, so I sometimes visit.

 

Summer is my least favorite because it gets hot here.

Fall, Winter and Spring each have their own reasons for my favor but Winter is starting to lose a lot for me as I get older and have trouble with all the ice.

 

I visited Nurnberg once, this is their youth hostel:



:2thumbsup: We drove by there without planning anything and there just happened to be a medieval festival going on too. A superb coincidence! This was in the summer.

last year I commuted a lot from my town, over the Swabian Mountains, towards Nuernberg, Fuerth, Bamberg and then on to a small town near the former German/German border. Sunday noon from the southwest to the east and friday night back to the southwest. Unfortunately I'd never seen more than the train stations.
