Ha! Paul Simon, a big no from me. I heard him sing Bridge Over Troubled Waters and it was so inferior to Art's many renditions. Art is a big yes from me. Remember it's about their voice not songwriting.
Adding a few more: Steve Winwood (how could I forget that wonderful voice?) Kenny Loggins George Michael
A few of my favorites: Myles Kennedy Chris Cornell Sammy Hagar Ronnie James Dio John Fogerty David Coverdale Robert Plant Ann Wilson Not into these singers main music but impressed by their voice: Pink - singing Me and Bobby Mccgee Fergie - singing Barricuda
Good choices. I like Rush, but was a little surprised by Geddy's inclusion. I've never heard anyone call him their favorite vocalist. Bassist, sure. I've met Robert Plant several times. Great frontman and super nice guy.
Jeff Lynn of ELO (by far, the best) Alan Parsons Greg Lake Rod Stewart Johnny Rivers ("The Poor Side of Town") Alvin Lee (Ten Years After) Joe Cocker Sal Valentino (The Beau Brummels) Keith Relf (The Yardbirds)
You met Robert Plant, you are so damn lucky!!! I'm a younger (20's, not a kid) classic rock lover. So I missed out on a lot that others are fortunate to have experienced. I was also surprised that I didn't see anyone else mention Geddy as their favorite vocalist. I like his vocals the most tied with Robert Plant. Actually, Geddy's voice grew on me. I used to not like Rush much at all. Which would surprise a lot of people I know in my real life, because they are now my favorite band. Tied with Led Zeppelin of course!!
