Fishman is a modest guy and one of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet for being a 'rock star'

That being said, as fantastic of a drummer as Fish is - there are certain talents out there that quite frankly, how can I say this, they speak a different language almost. Rodney Holmes is in that category - he's the Buddy Rich or Bill Cobham of today's era

It would be like Mike Gordon saying that Jaco Pastorius is the best out there if he was still alive today. Here again, Mike is an amazing bass player, but he's no Jaco and I'm sure he knows this.

Rodney is simply unreal. I haven't seen Billy Cobham play in about ten years and don't know if he's still got it as he's getting up there in years, but I'd compare Rodney to Billy

Obviously people's tastes vary, but I would have to guess that amongst drummers today, its probably a universal belief that there is no better 'kit' drummer than Rodney right now.

bill kreutzman, I wouldn't call him a mindblowing drummer, but some of the stuff he does when there is a psychedelic jam goin on really gets me excited. Like in the part of eyes where it gets really dark sounding.

Ill agree, Micky is awesome, but Billy K is the beat. You could set the rotation of the stars to him. in fact, I think someone did, cuz I was lookin up from Autzen stadium in Eugene this one time....

I agree with most of the names mentioned before but no one has said anything about Kris Myers from Umphrey's McGee! His drum solos are so fucking filthy and just insane. He is the shit.
