man his best song is castles made of sand... i love the intro guitar on it and the entire song is verry mellow and calm.
theres too many to choose. but man, Castles Made of Sand gives me the feeling i get when i see one of those Corona commercials...
I have in my possession a tape he made while in Italy in 1964. I've never heard these songs on the raio or seen them in a record shop. (I twas one of three but I only saw the one tape.) It has some great songs on it and when I get to the house I'll write them down and you can tell me where to get the cds.) One of the songs on there was called Flying.
I love all of 'em!! But my favourites must be Castles Made Of Sand, Hey Joe and Third Stone From The Sun..
A friend has all those older euro recordings on a 10 or so record set LOL, so old school. I have pretty much all the hendrix in existance, spent a long time scouring and making requests on private member only trading sites. Pali Gap is one of my favorites, World Traveller, Room Full of Mirrors (from hear my music i think, i don't like the one on rainbow bridge), jungle, south saturn delta, rainy day and still raining are probably my absolute number one favorites.
Don't hate me but I misread the tape. I just saw where it was copywrited in 1972. The list of songs areYoung Jim Lift off Swift Wing Giraffe Spiked with heady dreams. I looked the tape up a long time ago and couldn't find it but someone told me it might be a bootleg. I just looked it up again and it is. I'm going to see if it's worth anything.
Wow read this http://perso.wanadoo.fr/hendrix.guide/home.htm They were original made in 1964 I have the tape in the middle which is yellow. I found it at the thrift shop years ago for 45 cents. Wow I wonder what it's worth?
GREAT songs! and i have a question. do you think anybody put more emotion than he did into that guitar?
trey who? yeah i would agree that stevie ray put quite a lot of emotion into it. i would like to see some live grateful dead stuff what would anybody think is the best dvd to get?
trey who? as in you think he sucks, or you really don't know who he is? IDK I can't really listen to 80s dead, most of the dvd's are of the 80s. The GD movie is 75 so I guess as far as official releases go, that's the best one to grab IMO. Oh and closing of winterland is fuckin sick too, the not fade away is fuckin SICK. I like the sixties and early 70s bootlegs.
anastasio.. played guitar for the band "phish." You may have heard of them lol If you've never heard phish you are missing out man.
The wind cries mary, Little wing, Bold as love, Castles made of sand, Voo doo child, and Angel......mmmm I love Hendrix!
what are some songs you'd recommend? i like any band that can jam so i they have good first impressions
