Beatles, I grew up with them and let's face it, they're fantastic.
Faith No More, Fantômas and Tomahawk, because Mike Patton is brilliant.
Tom Waits, he's a one man band.
Led Zeppelin, after all these years their music still amazes me.
Mudhoney, saw them live. It was one of the best concerts i've ever seen!
Soundgarden, just great.

They're the band that really turned me on to music. and also the band that made me pick up the guitar so they will always have a special place in my life

Pink Floyd
PF is just fucking awesome. I perfer more the early floyd (up thru meddle) but really i love them all.

Jefferson Airplane
This is a somewhat recent musical discovery of mine and all i can say is where have you been all my life. After Bathing At Baxter's is one of the greatest albums of all time.

THE BEATLES!!

Favorites of all time even as solo artists (except for Paul, never got into his music or Wings). Just everything about them is amazing : their playing, singing, song writing ability, and general attitudes. Their movies are entertaining to watch and so were they.

Absolutely, The Doors.

 

Led Zeppelin. They inspired me to learn how to play guitar. Jimmy Page is amazing and not to mention that back in the day Robert Plant was a sexy little beast. They are just sheer talent. John Bonham is the most talented drummer of all time next to Keith Moon and John Paul Jones is right up there with John Eintwhistle. Led Zeppelin is just amazing and did i mention that Robert Plant was a sexy beast? His voice is sheer sex too...god, i love love love love love Led Zeppelin!

 

I have more than one...Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Weezer, Snow Patrol, Shiny Toy Guns, Metric...why....because they ROCK!

 

Wow, this is a hard subject. It's too tough to pick just one, So I'll list my "Current" top Five Favs, as this list can change on occasion.....

1 Pink Floyd - They have become my all time favorite band in the last 5 years, only wish I had caught on earlier, I would pay over $1,000 to see the band live. I'm glad I got to see both David's and Roger's tours last year but now I want to see the band!!!

2 The Who - Very underated in the world of "British Invasion" bands, IMO. "Won't Get Fooled Again" is the best rock song, again - IMO

3 The Grateful Dead - Again, a band I did not pick up on in my early years, (I am 35) but have grown to love. Only wish I could have seen Gerry while he was alive

4 Allman Brothers - The Best show to see outdoors on a nice summer evening, (15 years and counting!!)

5 Govt Mule - All I have to say is that Warren is the MAN!!!

He sealed the top spot when I saw him in concert. he is a true performer and really knows how to entertain the crowd.

 

If you mean "band" bands, not including singers/writers who of course have bands...

Beatles. REM. Who. I'm having trouble thinking of others. I like the writers who hire cool people to play for them, mainly, I guess.

they are so cool!!



I also think that pink floyd is a really goog band, led zeppelin, bad company,gun's and roses...
