Favorite Bands

Led Zeppelin. not a tough question.
Why? well, i love robert plant's voice, jimmy's the best guitarist ever, john paul jones can play a few instruments really well, and bonzo was one of the very best drummers, if not the best.
*sigh* I love Zeppelin. I wish I could have gone to a concert. Grr, my mom went.

U2. Because they are the greatest. Why are they the greatest? Because of their fanbase and the WAY they affected their fans.... Deep stuff..

 

These first four are in order (and nicknamed the Great Quad of Rock)
1. The Beatles
2. Pink Floyd
3. The Who
4. Led Zeppelin

and then a bunch of other bands/people. Of course I worship George Harrison (All Things Must Pass....... Musical Orgasm.....*drool*) Also Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Cream, The Byrds, Derek and the Dominoes, The Doors, CSN&Y.....and a veritable plethora of others.

my favorite? Bela Fleck and the Flecktones (do they count as a band, or is it all about Bela?)

why? because that's what I'm listening to right now


tomorrow, who knows. It could be AC/DC or the Stones or Aerosmith or .... any number of other bands.


eta - just realized this is in the RockNroll forum... in that case, it would have to be the Grateful Dead.

 

PINK FLOYD

Their P.U.L.S.E. concert changed my life. I was so moved that I instantly became a Floyd fanatic.

THE BEATLES

The first band that I ever fell in love with.

Unfortunately I was born in the wrong decade...

 

THE DOORS - because they have the best lyrics ever and they made the perfect combination of poetry and music.

PINK FLOYD - do i really have to explain?

DEEP PURPLE - i love their music, it's so beautiful and full of energy... they've been one of my favorites ever since i heard them live.

LED ZEPPELIN - because every song me happy. the music is amazing and robert plant has the best voice, i love him...

My favorite band of all time is definately Led Zeppelin. im a HUGE led head.

i also love Rush, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Cream, Creedence, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix, John Lennon, Neil Young, Phish, Queen, The Stones, Tom Petty, Simon & Garfunkel, and more.

 

Very dificult if you have a wide range of flavor of music . but most of it is from mid 1960s thru early 70s work.

 

CCR was one of the first bands i started listening to...then it just picked up from there! But that's definately what got me into the 60's music! I'm still a really big fan of Fogerty to this day.
