    I was pretty disappointed by Diary but Choke and Survivor are my favorites of his.

    "The Stranger" was what got me into reading in the first place.

    A lot of existential writing is like that. Very bland, normal life stuff. The First Man is very different to the Outsider though, its quite colorful and passionate and it reads a little like a travel novel with its descriptions of life in Algeria. It was his last book.

    Probably Hemingway or Ayn Rand. Or maybe Ray Bradbury, or Isaac Asimov.
    Hmm I don't think picking a favorite author will ever happen for me.
