I like Ringo because he seems the most normal. Paul's pretty decent too but I don't think he's 'cool enough' (i.e. too succesful) for most Beatles fans since the break-up.
I don't know about picking a "favorite"--that's kind of weird, seeing as I've obviously never met any of them. But the one I respect the most is Paul. People often act like John is the only reason the Beatles ever did anything innovative--that's bullshit. Paul was the one making tape loops at home, experimenting with sound. He was also an excellent multi-instrumentalist, the best vocalist in the band, and a fantastic songwriter. Musicially, he's the one who held the band together. On the other hand, my favorite Beatles songs tend to be the ones that John came up with.
John-I like his humor, and his philosophy...he's never afraid to speak his mind, and he knows what he believes, but, at the same time, his mind was never completely shut off to anything. I think what I mean is demonstrated best with his lyrics: "...count me out...in" -Revolution and his demonstration of apparent indecisiveness in Strawberry Fields Forever. And George; he's the spiritual one. I love that about him. And his soft voice.
Paul. i adore John but i will always love paul the most (and not just 'cause he's cute!) he is incredibly talented, a sweet guy and seems to write the perfect melody with such ease... i just love him.
I've always loved Ringo. Everybody seems so keen on paul and john and yeah, they are fab and I love John but Ringo has always been my personal favorite.
i love john and george but i would have to say george because he is so much underrated then john. thats who i love as a person... i love paul's voice the best though :O
Honestly they are all amazing boys i would have to say tho, that george harrison is my favorite. He didnt write alot of songs, but when he did they were amazing, and he held the group together during the drug stage even though he was on drugs as well. Paul and John are both amazing amazing song writers & musicians. & Ringo was an excellent drummer, even tho nobody gives him any credit. He was so influential he even changed the way people hold their drumsticks. He had nearly perfect tempo. Yeah he wasnt a crazy drummer but he was good for the beatles. eace:
well i'd say my favorite is john but they're all pretty awesome. And i agree with psychedelicmess abut ringo. I don't see why some people give him a bad rap, he had the ability to play odd time signatures, was proficient in many different styles, and was able to pick up a beat quick and go with whatever song the others played. Listen to a day in the life and tell me he's not a good drummer.
