I'm currently doing the low carb and intermittent fasting thing, so I fast every day usually only eating one meal. When I was younger I would fast for a few days every couple months as a form of meditation and self discovery. I fasted for 2 weeks a couple times. Can't do that now, my job is too physically demanding I would get myself hurt
NIce! How is it working for you? The only probably with eating once a day is that it's hard to get all your calories and protein in, unless you are able to eat a huge meal.
Well I started a couple months ago and lost 15 pounds within a couple weeks. Felt great...untill I had a gout flair up. I was eating a lot of spinach, cauliflower, mushrooms,etc. And they are all high in purines. So I stopped doing it for a while and gained it all back. I rededicated myself after getting on meds for gout and figuring out what not to eat for that. And now I feel great. But you're right I'm not getting all the calories that I should. I just don't feel hungry most of the time so I'm not eating lunch. Might eat a snack around 4 and then dinner at 6.
That's what you get with only one meal a day! jk (although in earnest: it doesn't work for me though)
