How is it a scam? All the reports I have read have stated that dark chocolate eaten on occasion is good for the body because of the antioxidant content, similar to the way that an occasional glass of wine is good, too.

Using your logic that we should avoid something that has "good things in it" because not every component of it is 100% good, then we shouldn't drink green tea because of the small bit of caffeine that is has, we shouldn't exercise because of the possibility of getting injured, and we possibly even shouldn't shower because of the risk of slipping. Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

And come on man, comparing chocolate to baking soda and crack is just a weak analogy. Are you disagreeing just to disagree?

did you miss where i mentioned to eat real cocoa, not crap chocolate - major differences, one is real cocoa and very bitter, with little to no added crap to it...while most chocolate bars are just sugar laden crap products

and i never said make your whole diet based on cocoa products either...nutrition is not hard, but people just want to try fad diet after fad diet. whatever. talk to someone who wants to drop from 10% BF to 5-7% BF...now thats hard.

15 pounds in a month is bordering on unhealthy unless you are morbidly obese. 30 pounds in a month is something that happens in gastric bypass surgery- not a person who actually gives a crap about their body while losing weight.

You should aim to lose tops 2-3 pounds a week.

You can lose 15 pounds healthily if you do some hefty research and stick to your planned diet. I'd recommend staying under 1000 calories a day (for no longer than a month). Breakfast should be some protein cereal or egg whites, lunch a salad with a lean protein, dinner lots of veggies, a lean protein, and a small serving of either whole grains or legumes. Fruit should be eaten in between meals as snacks. Drink as much water as possible. Green tea or herbamate will aid in curbing appetites. Make sure you exercise daily; about an hour of cardio is best if you want to lose weight, and weight lifting on alternative days. Get plenty of sleep, take your vitamins.

Whoops. I wasn't thinking about weight or height... I'm 5"2, 100 lbs. Calorie intake definitely needs to be adjusted accordingly.

yeah, i think most people who have an average build shouldn't go below 1200 calories a day, otherwise your metabolism will drop. and all of those calories should come from vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, etc. meat, eggs and dairy products are choc full off saturated fat and are probably not the best thing to eat if you're trying to diet. besides, if you're cutting calories then you're most likely eating less and animal products have absolutely no fiber to keep you feeling full, which can lead to binging. if protein is a concern, beans are an exellent source and dont have that many calories, plus you'll feel quite full and satisfied.

I don't think that you would keep the weight off if you want to lose it that fast. To be able to maintain your weight you would have to do more than just work hard for a month (because by the sounds of it you just want to stop straight afterwards if that is so than you would put it all back on again) the key is a healthy lifestyle and if you lose 1-2 kg a week you are alot more likely to maintain your ideal weight once you have acheived it, than if you lost it all fast.

I just read this after wrote my last post no offence but I have to say this plan isn't exactly the healthiest.

    1. I don't think that all milk and cheese should be cut out just eaten less if the person over eats it because or bodies need calcium and after a certain point in your life your calcium levels will start to fall, unless you are taking vitamins with calcium I don't suggest this.

2.I think that if you only treat yourself to junk food occasionally it isn't to bad, you shouldn't go through all your life not eating things you enjoy.

    3. 4 glasses of water is barely 2 litres which is what the human body needs.

    4. and as in my last post and some other that i have read on this thread it is unhealthy to lose that uch weight so quicky.

5.Dinner doesn't need to be eating before 4pm it just needs to be eating 3-4 hours before you go to bed so your body can digest it so your sleeping isn't disturbed.

This is no attack on you lifelovefun but I just don't agree with your view on this topic.

milk, cheese and meat are a negative calcium gain because if you consume more protein (which all animal products have) than your body needs, it will leach calcium from your bones in order to assist the kidneys in ridding your body of it. in small amounts (very small) im sure it wouldnt be an issue, but there are many various reasons to not eat dairy and far preferrable calcium sources widely available (green leafy veggies, soymilk).
