In all seriousness, it would be fun if someone on here really was famous.

 

I used to be a local celebrity back when I was singing.

But I've stepped outta the lights for a while so I could rejuvenate...not in a "Lindsay Lohan" style of rejuvenating...more like a "I'm tired of drunks grabbing my ass" rejuvenation.

 

^ maybe sing at those little outdoor concerts that small towns have during the summer rather than in bars

it would be too bad for your singing career to end because of some drunken booty-grabers

 

I just watched the dateline show about that Mcaffee guy and wondered if its Unknown american :leaving:

 

UA! It's been so long since I've heard from him, I really liked him. His stories were fucking riveting. Whether they were wholly true or not, I never really cared, he was damn good at storytelling. Since it has been so long since I've heard from him, it does bring up the question of what he's up to these days.

1st edit-Holy fuck, BBAD, I just Googled that story. Dunno that he was McAfee, but perhaps Faull? UA's money supposedly came from a company that expedited seeds.

2nd edit- Says Faull only lived in Belize for 5 months. UA's been there for some time. Hmmm, who knows?

 

im pretty sure he lived in the rainforest area of belize...those guys on the story were beach going city types

Yeah, he did live in the rainforest. I remember a video he posted from in his dining room and you could hear the monkeys outside. I remember some other videos he took outside. Very cool. But hell, who knows? I just hope whatever happened to him, he can one day come back and tell us the story.

celebrity is just a job. one there is far too much irrational obsession with.
unless a person is under age and not too bright, i doubt very much anyone would want to live in a fish bowl 24/7. even a fish dreams of rivers and oceans.

 

UA was a great addition to the forums. I didn't always agree with him, but he was cool, and had a thoughtful mind. He also reminded me of a couple of my business friends.. a huge amount.

It was a shame a certain individual who no longer posts here, decided it would be "amusing" to give him a load of bad mouth. Shame when people cant keep a lid on their jealousy...

I should still have his email address somewhere. But last I heard, he was on some homestead whatever forum, which seemed a bit foreign to me, altho quite interesting.

I read about McAfee and didn't see any link with him and UA tho..

My view was that he kept his id secret owing to his work, history and just the feeling that he liked the anonymity of the web. So he could speak without it coming back to bite him. I fully understand that perspective.

I know Belize has taken a turn for the worse in terms of violence. So I hope nothing bad has happened to him in recent times.. as was close to happening when he was here.. : (

 

Oh, is he on the homesteader's forum? I think I know where to find that. I do think about him and wonder sometimes. As crazy as his life in America was, I just pray it hasn't followed him to Belize.
