When I go out to work in the early morning, the smell of fall takes my mind back to my grade school days of waiting for the bus.
I just try my hardest not to commit suicide until Spring comes I hate the lack of light in winter as well, its the worst part for me. I like the month of fall though. i generally try to get out and see bands at clubs at least once a week. I like going out drinking in winter.
Are the leaves already down where you are? Damn, as far as I can tell, fall is already over in Ohio. Plus, it's been raining, and that took down a lot more leaves. I had to scrape ice off of my car windows this morning... I say fall is too short; winter is too long.
There are still leaves down here, but it got cold very quickly this year! No ice yet, but it been very gray and wet. I think we may have a few more trees than you guys do in Akron I'm still hoping for the one crisp day when I can go out and take pictures of the remaining leaves.
we have snow..I liked the summery fall with the smell of leaves and that...but like retro, I think I have SAD..since I was 11, my emotions seem to get whacked in the winter..harder for me to look on the bright side and I feel increasingly lonely..
fall is my least favorite season... but im looking forward to halloween...and pulling a prank at the pep rally...stupid spirit havin bitches
i like fall better than winter, and i love wearing sweaters but when it gets cold i don't go out to festivals and it is hard to get out to shows with my two kids and no one wanting to babysit for me... and this job i have makes it even harder to make it to festivals =( normally i wold drive all the way to ohio for a show but since i work a 9-5 i can't get time off for a year....... BLAH! my hubby watches the kids a night or two a week and i do the same so he can go out. it has been good for us to have "APART" time lol........
I LOVE autumn!! I love how all the leaves turn in to different colours, I love how the nature smells, I love rain... Hehehe, I guess I'm weird like that.
Haha, yeah, I'm sure you do, however, I'm not in downtown Akron or anything. I'm out in the suburbs. :H So, there are quite a few trees around here. Same here. However, the largest tree in my back yard that I wanted to take pictures of has already lost most of its leaves.
you guys should come here. It's spring at the moment, turning to summer. I can't wait - winter is FINALLY over. At least you guys have xmas and new year to look fowards to in your winter - we have June, July and August - hardly the most thrilling of months.
The falling leaves drift by the window The autumn leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sunburned hand I used to hold Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall by Johnny Mercer
I prefer the winter really I hate summer her in GA, it's soooo humid the air fucking sticks to you and we get bombarded with monster thunderstorms that send trees crashing to the ground and shit. I don't like cold weather, but at least you don't have to be worried about getting struck by lightning or some shit like that. Plus, since fall is my favorite time of year (except for the yellow jackets), I look forward to the later half of the year. Six flags is CRAZY in october, My birthday is next month, and me and my family MIGHT be going to spend thanksgiving around some decent people this year so that's something to look forward to. And you can't forget christmas and new years, and then valentine's day....there's plenty of shit to look forward to, even if it does feel like it's -30 degrees outside. It's alot better than 120 degrees, IMHO
I do love the beautiful colors but I hate the cold. So I hibernate as much as possible, drink egg nog, read books, bead, play video games and am online. The lack of light does make people depressed in the winter, so it's a good idea to get additional lighting for your home. The cheap fluorescent strip fixtures you can find at Home Depot are perfect.
