Yeah, I decided afterwards that the best plan of action would have been to pick up one of the 5 pound street bricks and hit him hard enough in the back of the head that it would knock him out. Then I´d stomp on his face a few times for good measure before walking away.

You missed this important point. So you had an excuse. Why do you get an excuse and no one else does. Why are they judged differently than you?

The fact that everyone on the street (including me) was too scared of getting hurt to help out (what looked like a 7 year old) kid getting the shit beat out of him, is what´s so fucked up.

I mean, if you would ask a random person on the street if they would do something in that situation, I would guess that most of them would say yes. But no one did.
