The logical not, of that is that certain things can only be learned through experience, you cant impart any of that "wisdom" anyway because they will only learn through experience

Experience isnt just a function of time. Its a function of experience itself. One who gets out and travels the world will get more experience in a shorter time and earlier on compared to the ones that never venture very far from the neighbourhood they went to high school in

Notice how thats the proposition you start from, that child raising as an adult would be the main difference between us. The assumptions you automatically make. How many children did you raise when you were a child yourself?

Especially from the terrible 2s stage to around 6 yrs, whether you were early or mid 20s or early 30s, you still would have been an adult to them, they would have learned to hide things from you a lot earlier and a lot faster than you still believe.

Are you SURE there isnt a certain type of life experience you missed out on, a few things you never saw, never will see because you never were raising kids as a kid. Sure you did it as an adult, and I know you think you know. That little nagging feeling in the back of your head, are there a few things I've been missing this whole time ;)

Actually I have been taking care of kids, infants on up, since I was about 12, so yeah, I do have that perspective, although I fail to understand your point based on what you have said? (it is a little confused)
We have six kids, my wife has been involved with scouts for over 25 years, and our business deals directly with elementary school children, so when it comes to children and child development, raising and understanding kids, I've got that pretty well covered, thank you. ;)

Am I to assume from what you said that you were tasked with raising young children while you were still a child yourself?

and of course there are experiences I have not had, but by virtue of my years on the planet and associated wisdom, intelligence and education coupled with a strong sense of empathy, I can often suss out the "important bits" of a persons communication, same as anyone else can if observant enough.

and what was your point again?

there is truth to this also. though i think, more accurately, its a matter of exercising the little grey cells to keep them healthy, just like one exercises the body.
some of us even find the little grey cells far more interesting to exercise then the body.

this is a completely separate thing from keeping up with every latest cultural nuance.
which at some point, most people once they're past adolescence, realize, you know what, fuck this shit, why the hell should i have to.

I just have to disagree with pretty much everything OP said

My piano class, I'm the only one UNDER 25. In fact there's like some 50-60 year old woman picking it up just fine.

You might not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but you'll find that despite age, people are much more susceptible to english than your pets ;)
