I think any person who says music is only good high is ridiculous. In my opinion, music is good, no matter where your mind is.

 

I agree. In fact, I think music is in itself an opening to another world, and its like a drug, for me at least. It enlightens and lets you escape, but it can also remind you of who you are and where you are going. Pink Floyd is cool like that...their old stuff like Corporal Clegg or see-saw or gnome are cool...well, make up your own damn mind.

im a floyd fan and i never taken weed or any thing else for that matter...its not because iv not had the chance, bt because i choose not to...pink floyd are amazing and i dont think i could find the experinece of their stuff any better..

You don't need drugs to love the sound.

Theres no such thing as music thats only good when your stoned.

However, weed, and epically acid DOES enhance music.

Floyd is Amazing bottom line. straight or high. One very big aspect of there music is they understand what psychedelics do ,and make music that enhances or plays off that when listening floyd straight its only half the picture .I also enjoy Alex Grey's art I also like to smoke a j and bug hard on his paintings as well ,dare I say Floyd was a surrealist band ?

 

I see where you trying to go with this. God made psychedelic mushrooms as well, and datura. In english the word drug may mean chemical substance and thus manmade, but it's just a word, man. They're also still intoxicating and/or stunning/anasthesic (I don't know how to say it the most clear since english is not my first language) but what I'm trying to say is that they're just drugs in those senses. That it isn't manmade doesn't make it all good (and in my language the definition of drug is perfectly fitting for weed).

 

yeah i know...im nt bothered about weed, its the stonger stuff...i guess its been brought up around addicts, makes u see the less interesting side i guess...

 

I'm not bothered about most drugs at all, it just bothers me some people seem to divide drugs in natural and manmade, while natural doesn't mean at all it's healthier, holier or whatever then booze, lsd, xtc, salvia or opium. But I guess we're going offtopic now

I actually agree with Dr. Ron Paul about removing federal jurisdiction of ganja over to the states to decide. Besides, this IS the United STATES.

Sadly, I realized I couldn't do the harder stuff anymore recently when I tried Salvia for the first (and last) time. Just too old for that shit, I guess. It scared the hell out of me. Of all the drugs I've done, Salvia made me feel like I was dying and watching myself do so from above.

Personally quite like Floyd, have smoked the odd joint socially but wouldn't consider myself a stoner. You probably have to be stoned to enjoy shite like Ummagumma, but even Pink Floyd think that's a load of bollocks.
