I'm drunk, but fuck Espana tonight. I wanted to see the Czechs kick ass, and the flying Dutch should have delivered. GWAR!
i wrote out a response to this which apparently didn't go through pavel pretty much said it, except for the nazi comment fuck you pavel but yeah basically what happened this afternoon was i cried
in the road, an hour and a half, penis enters the vagina, dress like a clown i mean FUCK YOU PAVEL! GERMANY ROCKS!!
I still don't get. Fullback passes to center. Center holds it. Holds it. Holds it. Any sport where you don't use your hands is kinda fruity.
it is so easy to use your hands though it takes skill not to. You don't appreciate the game until you play it and really get into it. Taking a fast curving corner to the noggin and knocking the soccer ball in the net is really hard with four defenders and a goalie surrounding you. I understand the Simpson's reference, which is funny. But sometimes both teams are balls to the wall. For example: The Dutch in their first three games. Or Turkey: 3 goals in 15 minutes is the opposite of the Simpson's parody, crazy dramatic stuff to watch! That is what the anti soccer folk should see but always seem to miss. Spain was crazy today too, another fun team to watch. They did to the Russians what the Dutch should have done. Russia caught the Dutch on a rare bad night but the Dutch win that match up 9 times out of ten. They played god awful and still almost pulled it out against a Russian team that played out of their minds and didn't have anything secured until the last 5 minutes of extra time. Tis soccer. is there a 3rd place game?? Turkey Russia would be fun. edit: I will give you this: The Italy/Spain game was yaaawn.
i would say that this is true of all sports.... except basketball; there's no way to appreciate that...
well i was exaggerating... it's kind of fun to play. but in my opinion, it is the least fun sport i've played and by far the worst sport to watch (well, right up there with fishing and nascar at least)
the worst sport to watch is curling at least in nascar you can hope to see a great crash with a tire hitting someone in the face
actually college basketball is lots of fun to watch. soccer and college ball and tennis are probably top 3 and only ones I can stand to watch. part of soccer is the roaring fans in the huge stadium, turn the volume up.
haha, i'll admit to having never actually sat through curling... nascar has those great moments, but it's maybe once or twice during several hours of nothing whatsoever, thus it's best for the highlights. carl, the roaring fans would help any sport; i'm sure i would have a great time at a professional soccer game, but by the same token i've been to pro basketball games and enjoyed them too... (turning up the tv on the other hand, would not be enough). and i do prefer college basketball over professional, since it's more about the game than the personalities at that level, but in the end it's still basketball, which i just do and always will find boring
I adore watching curling. At least curling takes more skill and little risk against a competitor's livelihood. HARUMPH!
the dutch game they were all morning the lost of that players baby girl and because of it their game was shit if they had had time to deal with that their game would have been different the ref in the russia spain game was too lenient, he should have called alot of things in the first half russia missed cause the keeper reflected it, they should have gotten the corner but the ref didn't call it a call like that could have changed the game
psh you probly just suck at it. futbol kicks other sports in the balls. fun to play AND to watch. and definitely not fruity. you know what's fruity? american football. fucking homosexual. of course i love it. but definitely gay.
