Is it time to cut out the middle man and filter your own water for less than $4.00/gallon?

Doesn't it seem that turning water into a fuel/energy source is just burning the wick at both ends of the stick even faster? I'd imagine that like most things that use water.. that sea water would not work? or would it? Would the price of water sky rocket? Look at corn ethanol.. left families that lived on the fringe unable to even buy corn to make tortillas and other corn based products that poor societies lived off of.. next it'll be water and then everyone will die when they can't even afford to fill a glass with water

last i checked.. harnessing the power of the sun or wind doesn't effect folks as much.. unless you can die from having that "annoying humming" in the distance

My BS detector is trembling. This Randell Mill sounds like another Joseph Newman crackpot/scam artist. Good grief, "dark matter"! Yeah, anyway, hydrogen takes a lot of power to break it from oxygen in water. Build yourself an HHO generator and see how much DC current it draws to get any amount of gas. HHO kits for cars has pretty much been busted because the motor has to make up for the draw in amps that the HHO generator uses so there's really no net gain in power. Keep in mind also that the only thing an HHO generator does is separate hydrogen and oxygen molecules, any further processing of hydrogen molecules would take even MORE power on top of the power needed to separate the oxygen. You can't call something free energy when you have to spend energy to make it!

Hydrogen is useful and a potential future replacement for gas but it is not free, it takes lots of power and technology to product it. It can however be produced "green" if wind and solar plants are used in generating hydrogen. This is far from free, it is more expensive and complex than refining oil.
