I've rewired my washburn, I need to add stacked pots to it and a few more affects......

 

I've never attempted to rewire my Strat..

what is the whole point of doing so?

 

you can add affects, change the sensitivities, and in my case change the order of the selector switch


I hated that it had center postion w\ all the pickups on and it was just all over the fucking map, so I put it in order that I felt was more logical.....

 

all the more reason why i dont play electric...

okay, selector switch


it has 5 positions on my guitar (2 standard pickups, one humbucker) and before I rewired the thing the center position (pos 3) was all 3 sets of pickups on, well the thing is that was crazy, because pos 2 was just the first pickup on and pos 1 was the second and third pickups


so I changed it, now it's

pos 1, pickup 1
pos 2, pickup 2
pos 3, pickup 3
pos 4, 2+3
pos 5, 1+2+3


so now it makes sense to me instead of the chaos that existed before, and all it took was some witres being moved around...


I can't add a few things I want to now though because I broke my soldering iron.....

 

but just how different does it sound than from what it was before?

 

oh I haven't changed the sound yet, I just made it logical


I will change the sound later, but for that I'll need to do some body work, and I want to have a working soldering iron before I do that......

want to get it done all in one day....
