i think the problem was more with the fact that the item was shipped in a plastic bag, not the fact that the addy was written with a felt tip marker.... but that is just my inferance.

I probably expect a good few bad experiences with ebay, as a seller... I've had everything from Nigerian Phishermen to French scammers trying to report that I hijacked their paypal account after they attempt to divert the funds in my account and paypal couldn't do too much. They bought shit three times before I could cancel anything (buy it now).

    Crazy...

I personally can see where some felt tips are very much not liked for addressing letters and such. Kind of like using a pencil that can rub off.

We have one of those mailboxes that open upwards. When a long letter or small package is put in it, it will often lift the flap up exposing the box or letters. Get a foot of snow on a letter that has been addressed with a felt tip and you will see why they suck! Especially on the warmer winter days. Same with rain.

Now a days though... alot of the felt tips are waterfproof.

I just filed a complaint with ebay about some fabric I bought over 3 weeks ago. The seller said it would go out in 3 days.A week later she said it was going out that night. Now she just plain refuses to respond to my email. I filed to get my money back. This woman has good feedback too. I don't understand it. I've been ripped off a few other times. I had someone leave negative feedback for me because I wouldn't lie to customs about the value of the package. I just didn't feel like risking federal prison so he wouldn't have to pay a few bucks in customs. There are some really bad people out there on ebay. But a lot of really good ones too. My feedback is nearly 400 and I've bought and sold. If I buy something I pay as soon as the auction ends. If I seel something it goes out the next day after I receive payment. I expect the people I buy and sell to to treat me the same way. It's called have ethics.

I don't know about other countries but in Oz the Post Office offers a COD service where by the buyer picks up and ays for the goods at their local Post Office. If a seller is not willing to do a COD then I give them a miss.

Wow that wasn't someone in Georgia was it? I sold an embroidery machine on eBay last year. Used it before I sent it,worked perfectly, the woman said the needles kept breaking so paypal refunded her money. I sold it as is. She had it seviced. The person said it worked fine, but wouldn't hold up to industrial use, duh it's a home machine. When I got it back it had rayon thread in the bobbin (which messes the tension up). Plus she had fooled with the tension so yeah the needles did break.

Wow...I didn't know paypal was like that....I was going to set up an account, but if people can steal my money that easily, I'm not so sure.

(I consider going after refunds that you are not entitled to stealing)

Did you apply to E-bay for a refund? They deduct $25 for doing so.
